I know Kiyone is in only one version of Tenchi physically,
my question is she mentioned at all in any of the other
versions, as dead or missing or retired or at all in any way
shape or form.

Kiyone is in the first TV series(Tenchi Universe), obviously.  I think she may be in Shin Tenchi, and she's mentioned and shown, IIRC, in the Mihoshi Special of the OAVs.  In the OAV universe, she's lost and possibly considered dead.

Kiyone is also in all 3 Tenchi Movies, even in Manatsu No Eve.  In MNE, she lives with the Misakis, and seems to be getting attached to Tenchi's dad.

Kiyone also appears in the Manga version of Tenchi Muyo In Love, even though she has yet to appear in the rest of the story.  In the beginning, Ayeka threatens to kick her out of the story!
