There are many ways to avoid the horrendous inconsistencies in tone that
normally come with a multi-author project.

Non-stop, fever-pitch wackiness is not one of the best of them.

To be honest, this was about half again as long as it should have been. Some
of the segments went on _way_ too long: DJ Croft macking on everything in
sight, D.F. Roeder getting the living daylights beaten out of him (and I
won't even go _into_ Onna-Ranma), Mike Rhea demonstrating the attitude that
_got_ his writing voted worst-of-show, and the Chicken Ball theme song that
I couldn't cram into scansion with a plunger, two crowbars, and the combined
weight of Yokozuna and Rikishi Fatu.

[Come on, the theme song couldn't have been *that* bad. ..... Okay, maybe
 a little. <grin>

In defense of Meg and the others, I'd have to say it was more the process than
it was the product. But yeah, it was too long than it should have been.]

Title: Terrible Things to Waste: Part 8
Series: NA SM
Genre: Suspense / Action / Drama / Unsweetened
Author: Bastion

Hoo boy. Nausicaa _and_ SMJ? I hope this isn't gonna be a case of Ain't It
Nifty syndrome, and that there's actually potential for the given characters
in the given situtations.

[Hmmm, by this syndrome you mean I insert the characters from each series
in the story, or what? Because, trust me, that's what I'm trying to avoid.]

I still feel sorry for Halebit. He's just nuts, and he desperately wants to
be... ah... less nuts.

[I must confess though, writing Halebit's scenes are fun to do. <evil grin>]

The future world itself seems... very odd indeed. One
wonders when the veneer is going to collapse; it always does, after all,
otherwise it's not a proper utopia.

[Um, which world are you talking about? Naus's world?]

Anyway, keep going with this. It will be... _very_ interesting to see what
happens now that the ultimate source of universal power is in the hands of a
marionette.

[Hehehehe. Ain't it Nifty? <grin>

Anyway, thanks Paul for the review. I really appreciate it.]
