Well...consider that their leader's standard formal education ended at
five, and almost every physical and mental resource she has gained in
the years since was obtained by salvage of one form or another. Also
consider that Sonic is their star warrior - outperforming the others
and serving as one of their main sources of morale. Organizational
maturity is not typically a quality one finds in groups fighting for
their lives against the powers that be.
Annie's approach to the problem wasn't exactly ideal either. Is
she usually that amoral?
Her chain of logic went something like:
* If Sonic doesn't snap out of it, no one will fight.
* If no one fights, we're as good as dead (or mind-controlled slaves -
same difference, to her in this case).
* Therefore, my life depends on making Sonic get over losing Sally, no
matter what it takes.
