The Idea is a noncrossover, where Ranma and the rest

Nerima

and die from the side effects of the fights. Would

monsters ( at least at first ) succeed in getting
the energy
they want?
As a series this could be interesting if anyone
wanted to do
a character driven alternate world.
I am suffering from the dire effects of a new blood
pressure
pill besides sleeping or at least having to lie down
for 6
hours after work, I become mildly dyslexic on the
keyboard,
when I can set up thank heavens for spell checkers.

@@OK, I'll give my thoughts on this idea.
The basic problem is that w/o Usagi this could become
just
another "monster of the week" series. Even _with_
Usagi there
was a lot of monster-of-the-week (MOTW)in the original
SM.
There have been many Ranma fanfictions dealing with
monsters invading Nerima.
Waters Under the Earth, The Clan, Dark Family,
for instance.
W/O SM and the Senshi what makes this story different?
What would drive the plot?
Ranma is a romantic comedy. The dramatic tension comes
from trying to get Ranma and Akane together.
SM is a magical girl show. The dramatic tension comes
from Usagi trying to save the world. The MOTW formula
works because it's not so much Sailor Moon the magical
girl who saves the world but Usagi and her caring
heart.
There have been a few fanfictions that address the DK
in more detail (Sailor Moon V, Sailor Moon Z, DKR,
etc) but even they owe a lot to SM and Usagi for
continuity and depth of characterization.
Alright, I've mentioned some of the problems. Now
let's see what _can_ be done. Or rather how _I_ would
do it. ^_^ IMO to really make this story work the DK
is
going to need much more depth. And, since I'm writing
it, it's going to be Akane-centric. *_*

Idea 1::
I think I'd make Akane a princess of the DK, perhaps
kidnaped by Soun or Genma. Or a foundling.
Actually I can think of several ways to do this.
And it doesn't _have_ to be Akane, that's just the
way I would do it.
Now comes the DK invasion. At some point it's
discovered that Akane (or the character of your
choice)
is really part of the DK. Dramatic tension . . .
conflict between opposing the DK and Nerima friends.
Nerima gang, opposing DK and Akane? Or do they switch
sides. Ryouga and Ranma would be torn at least. And
the DK. Add some internal conflicts. Some
loyal to the old regime, some wanting to overthrow
Metallia and install Akane (or who-ever) {you could
kill off Beryl, replace her with a regent or another
queen/king who wouldn't be happy
to have the lost princess (or prince) found}

Idea 2::
more of a comedic slant. Genma sold
Ranma to the DK as a child for a fish
and three bliznicks. (The DK don't have
pickles). They come for Ranma. The Nerima
gang go to his rescue.

Idea 3::
More of a dark story.
The DK invade and kill all but one
of the Nerima crew. The survivor
trains and invades the DK for revenge.
A rather cliched story line but could
be done. OR you could do more of a
Seven Samurai. Nerima recruits the
seven toughest fighters to defend against
the invading DK.

There are other possibilities but these three
come to mind first.
