Akane was bored and annoyed. She woke up late and was forced to skip her
breakfast, then Kuno intercepted them at the entrance...as usual. Punting
Kuno to the stratosphere helped her releive some stress but accidentaly
soiled her dress. And on top of all that...the teacher was late!
Yup, definitley a bad day.
Akane sat up straighter and out of sheer boredom tried to eavesdrop on what
Ranma and Daisuke were talking about.
"So Ranma, did you hear about THE girl?" Daisuke asked Ranma, saying the
word "the" as if it had some ritual significance.
"Girl? What girl?" Ranma looked at Daisuke pointedly.
"You mean you don't know?" Daisuke looked at Ranma wierdly "Jeez, Ranma,
what have you been doing this past couple of days? Living under a rock?"
Ranma glared at Daisuke.
It would have been interesting to know what Ranma was going to say or if
Akane was going to get caught listening...but we'll never know 'cause at
that moment the teacher came in.
"Class" the teacher began "As you all know we have a new student. Miss-"
the teacher frantically looked around "I could have sworn she was right
behind me..."
Seemingly materializing out of the shadows the girl took a small step
forward into the light and bowed.There was a general intake of breath
from the male portion of the class and even some of the girls.
Akane was very annoyed to note that Ranma was part of the majority
described above. Turning her eyes to the girl, Akane studied her intently.
The girl was around Akane's height. Her eyes were a piercing yellow that
seemed to convey an "I know something you don't" message. She had extremely
long bright blue hair gradually turning white at the tips that extended to
her rear. She was very slim, her long arms and legs had a relax look to
them but Akane was knew enough about martial arts that she sensed an
underlying strenght in those limbs.
"I'm Miko Ukagi and I was recently transfered from Furinkan High." stated
the girl
Akane raised her hand and said " You must be mistaken. I mean...this is
Furinkan."
A bewildered exppresion settled on tthe girl's face but was so swiftly
covered up that Akane doubted anyone but her noticed it.
Miko smiled " Of course, I was only kidding. What I meant was that I'm
from St. Michi's school of martial arts.
Ranma raised an eyebrow and whistled "Looks and martial arts? I wonder
why Akane hasn't burst of jealousy yet?"
"BAKA! I heard that!" Akane took a swing at Ranma
SWAT!
OWW!
"Mr. Saotome please stand in the hall."

The day was with out incident until dissmisal.Kuno was pestering Miko and
Ranma decided to help her out.
"Yo, Kuno! Stop scaring all the new students and ...do whatever people like
you do for R&R." said Ranma and moving to block Kuno's attempted hug on Miko.
"Ranma you cur! Now I will free the lovely Akane Tendou and my pig-tailed
goddess from your sorcerous thrall!" Kuno glared at Ranma and charged.
Before anyone knew what happened Kuno was sailing through the air. Miko had
intercepted Kuno and delivered a swift punch to his face. It was so fast
Ranma almost didn't see it. Unfortunately, Kuno in his desparation to
counter this unforseen attack, lashed out and shoved Miko backwards.
Ranma caught Miko just as she was about to fall. Ranma was helping her
up when he realized that his hands were resting on two very soft
things...round and soft.
"Ranma! What do you think your doing!?" Demanded Akane
Ranma whirled around and faced Akane and hastily took his hands away from
the offending objects.
"Um...Akane it isn't what it looks like..." Ranma said with hands held
in front of him and rapidly backing away.
"BAKA!" Akane suddenly glowed blue and was hefting a giant mallet.
She took a swing at Ranma only to have it blocked. Akane opened her eyes to
see Miko holding the mallet steady with her two fingers...right at the center,
and with a sudden flick of her hand sent the mallet careening off to the
bushes.
Akane made a "gasp" sound in shock. At the back of her head she suddenly
had a sense of ... deja vu.
"Is she disturbing you Ranma?" Miko asked innocently as everyone stared at
her with big sweat drops on their heads.
Frustrated and confused Akane grabbed the nearest thing,in this case a
bench, and threw it in the general direction of Miko and Ranma. They both
ducked and it accidentally hit one of the students watching them. Akane
heard the sickening sound of CRACK!, then everything went black.

Akane woke up to the sound of voices: Ranma's and her father's.
"So how was the girl with a broken arm?" asked Soun
"Alright, if you could call having a fractured arm alright," answered Ranma
"Where am I?" Akane sat up and looked around her.
Almost instantly, Ranma was by her side. He held her tightly, like she was
was going to be snatched away in an instant, yet gently, like her bones
were made of glass.
"Are you alright ? need anything-" Ranma was cut off as Akane held a finger
on his lips.
"I'm fine,really. Where am I?" Akane involuntarily leaned backon Ranma
She looked up to Ranma "And what are you doing here?"
Nabiki walked into the room and smiled "You're in the Hospital, Sis,
and as to why he's here, well his stayed in this room for the last" She
looked at her watch "8 hours".
Akane suddenly realized that the room was filled with people: Kasumi asking
if she was alright, Nodoka bringing her a drink, Genma checking on her
condition, Ukyou with okonomiyaki and strangely Miko Ukagi. She was about
to remark on this when Ranma took pity on her.
"Quiet everybody! Let Akane have her rest, she needs it." Ranma announced
Nabiki smirked "Your one to talk Ranma, with you holding Akane like there's
no tommorow."
Ranma grinned sheepishly, stood up and ushered everybody out. Before he
closed the door he turned back to Akane and said "Sleep Akane, you need it."
As Ranma left he saw Nabiki and Kasumi talking, before the voices faded
away he heard "... i hope its not happening again..."

RING!
*What's that?* Ranma thought to himself he turned over and tried to swat
the alarm clock.
3 hours later.
RING! RING!
Ranma finally took a look at the alarm clock
11:00
Instantly a horrified expression replaced Ranma's frown.
*Oh, crap...* suddenly Ranma was up and running to the bathroom. As he passed
through the hallway Ranma called for Nabiki and Kasumi...as he expected
nobody answered. *I knew it! *. Ranma got into the bathroom and hurriedly
took a bath. Afterwards Ranma ran out of the house buttoning his shirt as he
went. * Why would they leave me?* Ranma frowned and tried to think of a
suitable retort for what Nabiki did, when he suddenly remembered that he was
the one who set the alarm clock to avoid being late.
"Stupid Ranma!" he berated himself " of all the times to do something
stupid"
With that on his head Ranma raced off to the Hospital.

Nabiki, Kasumi, Soun and Genma were in Akane's hospital room.
"So Akane, are you all ready to go?" asked Nabiki
"I guess so... I," Akane looked out of the window "I just thought he'd be
here." she sighed "I guess thats just wishful thinking"
"Hey you know Ranma...it'll take an army to wa-" Nabiki was cut off when
they heard something crash downstairs.
CRASH!CRASH!BANG!CRASH!EEEK!
More like several somethings.
With a bang, the door to there room opened revealing a very winded, slightly
dirty Ranma.
"Hi everybody," Ranma smled apologetically "sorry I'm late."
Nabiki looking behind Ranma and seeing his trail of upturned tables, broken
glassware, flusstered nurses and suprised doctors remarked "So Ranma, what
did you do now?"

It's been a week since the incident in the hospital and Akane was now fully
recovered. Strangely Ranma and Akane's relationship had taken a turn for the
better.Now they were walking to school...Akane's first day since the fight.
And for once Ranma was walking beside her and not on the fence.
"You know Ranma...that Miko person?," Akane asked "She reminds me of
someone...i just don't know who."
Ranma looked at Akane mildly suprised, "Why did bring her up? Considering
what happened and the fact that we haven't seen her for the last week.
I figured she'd be the last thing on your mind."
Akane face turned thoughtful"I don't know but, take for example last night.
Her face kept popping into my head and i couldn't sleep."
Ranma looked at her and grinned "And you call me a pervert..."
Turning red she replied "Baka! I wasn't thinking of her like _that_!"
"Then why are you turning red!"
"ARGHH!,"Akane threw a fist hitting a wall and making it crumble like so
much sand "forget it, let's just go to school in peace."
As they walked away Ranma thought *She didn't hit me? Maybe she's finally
fallen for the saotome charm* He smiled.
Inside Akane was fuming. *How dare he do that to me ! I open myself to him
for once...and what does he do? He teases me! That Baka! I'm so mad i can
hit him all the way to the moon*she sighed, but at the back of her head a
voice asked* then why didn't you?*

When they reached the school they found the girl Miko arguing with Kuno.
"...your hair is as blue as the sea, your eyes as bright as the sun
and your chest-" Kuno was suddenly cut off by a very red, very angry Miko.
"That's it!" Miko briefly glowed blue then suddenly she was holding a big,
heavy baseball bat.
She swung the bat for Kuno hitting him squarely in the face, sending him on
a cross country trip.Miko again glowed blue briefly then the bat was gone.
Just then Kodachi appeared. "Ohohohoho!Ranma darling let us leave these
peasants. I am the only one meant for you!" So saying she tried to glomp
unto Ranma.
Unfortunately for her, Miko was faster. Swiftly shoving Ranma back , Miko
turned the attempted glomp of Kodachi into a neat shoulder throw.It is to
Kodachi's credit that she managed to land on her feet. turning around she
regarded Miko and said " Who are you girl? and why do you meddle with
Kodachi Kuno, the black rose's affairs?"
Proudly standing up she said " I'm Miko Ukagi, and who are you calling a
peasant?"
Kodachi answered with deluge of black petals...all of them drugged.
Briefly Miko glowed blue again and she was holding a net. Dragging it
swiflty behindd her she caught all of the petals and threw them back at
Kodachi. It didn't even touch Kodachi as she, using her ribbon, caught the
net in mid-air andmade it go careening off to the side.
Miko's image suddenly blured and she appeared beside Kodachi. She immeadietly
executed a punch-kick-punch combination, but all were skillfully blocked by
Kodachi.
Miko again glowed blue and she was holding a mallet that was swinging right
for Kodachi's head. Kodachi dodged but midway through the swing Miko let go
making it hit Kodachi stunning her.
Seeing Kodachi vulnerable, Miko again glowed blue and she was holding
another mallet
that swiftly connected with Kodachi's mid-section...sending her right
behind her brother.
"Wow"Ranma commented
"thank you." said Miko bowing. Noticing Akane she turned to her and said
"I apologize for what happened before...i wasn't aware that he was your
fiancee."
"That's okay,it was Ranma's fault anyway." Akane replied
"Wha-"Ranma was about to react on what Akane said but he was cut off when
Akane put a finger on his lips and winked.He quieted down instantly.
"So Miko...don't i know you from somewhere?" asked Akane
"I don't think so..."said Miko"the last time i was here was 11 years ago."
"Oh, i see..."replied Akane
Ranma spoke up "Say you were pretty good out there. What style were you
using? It was really wierd with all those mallets and bats flying around."
"That? Oh they weren't real." answered Miko
"Not real? but how could that be? It worked against Kuno and Kodachi." asked
Ranma
"What I mean is that they weren't real in the sense that the bat was wood
and the net was nylon. They were just projections of my chi." explained Miko
"Oh." said Ranma
"You know I'm surprised at you Ranma, seeing as how your exposed at this
kind of technique everyday." Miko said looking pointedly at Akane
At that Akane seemed to start.
Ranma grinned "So wanna spar?"
Miko looked startled " here? now?"
"No, later after school. At the Tendou Dojo."
Miko smiled " Sure."
"Well okay, Ja Ne!"

It was now afternoon and Akane, Ranma with Miko were now in the Tendou Dojo.
"Let's go?" asked Ranma
Miko merely nodded
It was over in moments.
"Ranma, Akane? Can you pls help me up?"

"You know you were good out there." said Ranma
"I especialy noticed how fast you moved" commented Akane
Miko smiled ruefully "Stop that! You both know I was terrible."
"On the contrary, the fact that you were able to hit Ranma was amazing."
confessed Akane " I only know several people that can even hit him"
"You one of those people?" asked Miko
"Yup!" Akane grinned.
"Well any way,what's the name of the style your using?" asked Ranma
"I honestly don't know. But I think my mom does, she was the one who taught
me after all." said Miko
"Then let's go ask her." said Ranma
Standing up they swiftly departed for Miko's House

They were now at Miko's house. she quietly knocked on the door.
after a few minutes it opened revealing a woman
"Miko, your back!" exclaimed the woman
Akane merely gawked and asked "MOM?!?"
