Dude, you know I've told you I like your fic. But, well... this is
kinda creepy. Akane and Nodoka seem kinda... nonplused over this whole
Genma's seppuku/hari-kiri (sp?) thing. I'm pretty sure forcing somebody to
commit ritual suicide in Japan is illegal now, even if it was because of a
pact and face is at stake. Why isn't Nodoka in jail? Why isn't Akane
REMOTELY bothered that somebody is dead? And why in the HECK would Soun
marry Nodoka after that, duty or not?! This is really dark. REALLY dark.
Besides, even ye olde days of Japan, I'm pretty sure seppuku was a
priveledge, not a duty. If you refused, I think you were made into a
shameful pariah or dishonorably executed if it was a matter of government.
Genma might just refuse and go with the former choice.
Up until this point I _was_ enjoying the chapter. Just, sometimes
you give me the heebie jeebies.
