In an alternate universe story that all can be taken for granted, but not
with the basic premise that Ranma stays the same. After all if he does stay
the same then most of the critism has a valid point, by this point most
people can accept that Akane was better, how we don't know, but that's
irrelevant. According to the author Ranma didn't change, and from that
point the readers have made our assumptions.
It is an alternate reality and simply put that means just about anything can
change within the authors definitions, but the overriding feeling on FFML
seems to be that Ranmas characterization is off.
