Well, it's 8:21 pm Mountain time as I write this,
and it's been about 6 hours since the mobile repairman
from CompUSA left.
The good news is he replaced the power supply on
my HP Pavilion, and it seems to be working fine. ($103.95
for a _proprietory_ power supply. And a puny 160 watt supply
at that. Sheesh. No way to replace it with anything heftier
either.)
The bad news is that it's working fine, and I
therefore can't take advantage of the replacement
machine clause in my service contract. (feh.. I was
hoping the motherboard had died. I could have gotten
a nice new P-3, 600 Mhz machine. Oh well, such is
life.)
I've transferred all the saved mail from the past
ten days from the laptop to this machine, and will be
replying to it as fast as I can. (Windows 9x's Direct Cable
Connection program is VERY useful at times..) I won't be TOO
fast as I'm trying to ride out a cold that I caught at the
StarFest 2000 convention in Denver this past weekend.
Anyone for a nice hot glass of TheraFlu? ^_^
Guess that's about all for now. I'll try to get back
into the swing of things fast as I can. Sneezing on the
keyboard and screen isn't helping much. Heh.
Take care, and I'll see you all soon.
