Subject: [FFML] [FFML][Info][Spam]Where is Nerima, anyway? A short
geographylesson
After seeing this statement:
I don't know where Nerima is
for the Nth time (no offense meant to the authors -- why *should* you know
where Nerima is?), I decided to post a quick little geography lesson.
Nerima is one of the 23 wards ("ku") of Tokyo; in Japanese, that's
"Nerima-ku". Like the boroughs of New York City, many of the wards were
towns that were annexed by Tokyo as it grew. However, they're part of
Tokyo
proper now.
Nerima is in the northwest corner of Tokyo. Here is a map (in Japanese) of
Tokyo and the cities to its west:

And it is NOT one of the "trendy" popular places in Tokyo. That would be
the south-side... Shibuya, Shinagawa, Odaiba (no not really Roppongi).
Shinjuku is old and dirty, but there is mad shopping available. Of course
in Ginza and Ueno as well. But enough on this...
A note about the all popular "Ma Maison" that appears in numerous fanfics.
I can't say about one in Nerima (haven't made it out there yet), but the one
in Omori is not a big fancy french restaurant. It's more of an Olive Garden
level place maybe...and I wasn't impressed.
