I have an alter-ego.
Yes, some of you know me as the not-very-productive writer Colleen Morgan.
But I am also the editor and general miscreant "Minty," one of the editors
for all of the anime and manga categories at the Open Directory
Project. The Open Directory Project is a non-profit search
engine/directory dedicated to providing correct, comprehensive and
informed results in an organized fashion. The ODP has received so much
acclaim and attention that major search engines are using it to boost
their results. Altavista, AOL Search, Google, HotBot and Lycos all use
ODP data. I can search at any one of those places and see URLs that I have
entered, with my descriptions intact.

What all of this leads up to is the fact that I need help. We have a great
team of editors for the manga and anime sections, but they aren't nearly
as comprehensive and well-edited as I would like. We still need editors
for nearly all the categories, especially Ranma, Sailor Moon and Dragon
Ball/Dragon Ball Z. We also have categories for obscure anime titles, such
as Di Gi Charat, Candy Candy and Captain Harlock. Fan favorites, such as
Fushigi Yuugi, Card Captor Sakura, Digimon, Dirty Pair, Urusei Yatsura,
Tenchi, all could use serious help.

We really need smart and literate editors, interested in making anime on
the web more informative, accessible and link-rot free. If you're

help with your application. Again, this is a non-profit, totally
volunteer-based effort and people interested in self-promotion above all
