Ummm, I wouldn't try for a one-to-one exchange of
characters. But that's just me. ^_^
Of course there are a great deal of similarities
between the two, princess fighting evil, monsters,
etc.
So, are you putting SM into Blue seed? Usagi, et.al.
fighting Aragami? or Aragami in place of the Dark
Kingdom?
You've already got the plot. Magical girls (or
priestess) fights evil. Usagi and Momiji are already
VERY close in spirit. (compare Usagi vs. Galaxia and
Momiji in the final eps. of Blue Seed.) They both use
love to conquer evil.
I like both series. (and I've got the Blue Seed gang
doing a cameo in Sukeban Senshi) so I'm interested in
this project.
Fusing SM with BS . . .Blue Moon . . .(not a joke,
btw)
A Blue Moon is a rare (relatively speaking) second
full moon in a month (as
I recall).
Therefore Blue Moon, in this case, refers to a rare or
unusual event. In this case
Usagi is the Blue Moon(the second moon princess.)
Postulate that Usagi has a sister (Beryl/Kaede) hmmm,
keep Shingo? Or replace him with a sister.
And do you move them from Tokyo?
And, do you want to keep the moon theme names? Or
Maple theme?
(Names are very important. The BS names are all plant
theme)
I'm trying to find the contrast to make this work.
Unfortunately
Usagi and Momiji are VERY close. (I think they use the
same
voice actress? But don't hold me to that. ^_^)
Using Magical Girls to fight Aragami might be
interesting. And you
could possibly bring in an invasion of Aragami to
bring down the
Moon Kingdom. And having Beryl as Usaig's sister is
unusual. THAT
could be the key. In SM and BS Beryl never meets Usagi
(until the end) and
Momiji and Kaede are rased apart. HOWEVER if you kept
them _together_ . . .
Hmmmm, Beryl and Usagi (or however you eventually end
up naming them)
living together under the same roof. However they
don't KNOW they are deadly
enemies? (No one ever seems to recognize the senshi
out of uniform. ^_^ And it took
forever for Usagi and Mamo-chan to recognize each
other. ^_^
OK, how does this sound.
One hundred thousand years ago there was a great
civilization on the moon, based on
control of nature. (not crystals) A great split came.
One side repudiating mankind and the animal kingdom
(Beryl) and the other trying to have man and nature
work together. (Queen Serenity) Beryl tries to kill
her mother and sister (or turn them into plants)
Serenity puts the souls of her surviving "children"
into animals to be reincarnated later on earth. Beryl
has upset the balance of nature so all the plants die
out or become dormant.
Fast forward to the future. Beryl's soul(Usagi's
sister???) becomes aware first and tries
to resurrect the Kingdom of the Roots. Usagi and co.
fight to preserve mankind. ^_^
That's one idea at any rate. *)*
I wouldn't try to stick too closely to either BS or
SM. Figure out your characterizations, put them in
the situation and watch and see what happens.

I'm thinking of Sugishita for Artemis but I am stuck
on what to do with
everybody else. Luna? Kunikida Daitetsu? Yaegashi
Yoshiki? Also, any
ideas for plot are welcome.
