Setting:Hirohito Mall, Tokyo-3
Time:Friday, 4:00 P.M Japan Standard Time
2033 A.D

Sayeka looked around, not seeing Teri anywhere. She had been waiting here for an hour, and deaspite that she had a patience that never weared thin, somwhow, today was going to be the first time. She kept looking at the watch, and flinching her head sideways. She got up of the bench that she was when she felt her eyes being covered up by 2 hands. Sayeka smiled and grabbed the intruder from the back, squeezing her arms tight, the intruder let go suddenly and when Sayeka turned around, she saw Teri, clutching her arms, wincing in pain.
 " Man, You just can't take a joke, can't you? " Teri said, annoyed that her prank backfired on her.
" Teri-chan, don't ever do that again. I have been practcing my Karate for 3 years now, so I'm getting quite good at it. "She replied proudly, her eyes shining bright with confidence.
" Yeah, despite that Japan has the lowest crime rate in the world, I would be surprised if someone came over and tried to steal your purse. " Teri, replied, still feeling sore.
 " Don't worry, they won't do it after what I just demonstrated. "Sayeka smiled.
 "Now, let's get going before the mall closes, okay? I need to pick up a really good dress and some nice shoes for tomorrow's date, and I forgot to tell you, I'm sorry for being late, I had a doctor's appointment. " Teri said; inside though, she felt that somehow, she was coming apart, after what Doctor Ibuki told her.

Flashback:
Setting: NERV HQ, Doctor Ibuki's Office.
Time: 3:30 P.M Japan Standard Time,
2031 A.D

Teri sat silently, her eyes wandering around the doctor's office. She looked at her degrees and certifications. She kept on looking at the NERV logo, getting used to the fact that she was also a member, and pilot of something that was really big, could trash this whole city in 15 minutes or less and had the power to rule the world with it if she wanted. Her Mom told her to come to Doctor Ibuki's Office, after what happened with Unit 01, the strange occurence that it started up by itself with no pilot onboard. She kept her gaze on a frame that conatined an old photo, of Doctor Ibuki, Ritsuko Akagi, Misato Katsuragi and Ryoji Kaji. She knew only of the 3, but never knew Ritsuko. She was an enigma to her, and the only clues that she had was when she overheard her mom and Aunt Misato talk about her, how she was. She completely disappeared from the face of the earth. The doctor came in, her white trench coat covering her yellow blouse and brown skirt. Maya looked at her, putting the manila folder with the information she gathered on her table. Maya read the report to the hilt, at the same time, called Asuka and told her that there was an incident with Unit One and wanted to make sure that Teri was not afflicted by it. Teri looked at the woman, and saw her brown eyes filled with preoccupation.
  " Teri, Where were you today? " Maya asked.
  " I was at school, studying for the entrance exams. "  Teri said, her angelic voice tinging with a sense of desperation.
  " I see, " Maya said, still inquisitive, " You haven't been under a lot of stress have you because of the exams? "
  " A little, since my mom wants me to go to Tokyo-3 High, and I guess with Swim team and Basketball Team practice along with the studying, I guess it has taken it's toll on me. " Teri sat there, her mind still reeling from what happened earlier.
  " You want to know why you were asked to see me? " Maya looked at the teenager, her arms crossed, her body leaning against the desk. Teri looked at her again, and sighed deeply.
  " No, I don't. Mom called me by cellular to tell me to see you about something; I don't know why though." She said, her voice becoming more preoccupied by the minute.
  " Well, around 2:30 P.M , Evangelion Unit 01 broke out of its restraints and wanted to free itself out from the cage where she was being held at. Her neural connections went online, and the synch ratio went off the roof. We were afraid that it was going to go on a rampage but she went offline quickly. We know now that since you were born in it and can synch naturally with it, I thought that you were responsible for it. " Maya said, to the fact that she was woried more about the complications from it.
 Teri looked at her, in the back of her mind she felt that she need it to tell her that she blacked out for no reason at all. Then, it came back, little by little, images of her reading the message, seeing two deep ember filled eyes, a woman screaming, and a black skull.
 " I blacked out at the moment you said that Unit One came online. I read a message on the computer in my desk, and after reading it, I was shocked and blacked out. I couldn't remember the details of the message if you want to know, Ibuki-san. " Teri looked at Ibuki, a single tear coming from her eyes. Maya watched at the helpless teen and gave her a hug, consoling her.
 " You have to be strong, Teri-chan and remember, you have your mother's blood. Try to find out who sent you the message and once you do, talk with the person why did he or she sent it in the first place. " Maya let go of her hug and stood silently at the teen.
 " I will, Ibuki-san and tahnks for  doing this. Mom would worry of what happened at school. I gotta go though, I have a friend waiting for me at the mall, we are going shopping and I need to buy some new clothes for tomorrow night. " Teri smiled, her tear vanished completely from sight. Maya walked her to the door,  smiled at her and saw her off. Teri waved good-bye and Maya shut the door. She went to her desk, flipped back the picture of Ritsuko, her, Misato and Kaji when she heard the phone ring. She picked it up, and looking at the picture, still brought the memory of her.
   " Hello, Ibuki speaking. " She answered politely.
   " Maya, I'm back. "  The other feminine voice replied; Maya's eyed widened and she felt a sudden rush of happiness. She looked at the picture, and her pencil fell from her fingers. Maya knew who she was and for over 15 years, she felt alive again.

Okay, this is the Author speaking and I must say that no one saw that coming now? I like to surprise people with this and I will say this, this re-appearance will have major implications in the story.*Teri walks up to the Author and bonks him on the head with her Saturn Glaive* Okay, Teri, Back to the story...(Sheesh, what a temper.)

As Teri and Sayeka walked to each shop to try new dresses, shoes, blouses, and every single clothing item that they could try on, 3 hours later, they were at the food court, eating Hamburgers, Fries, Soda and Ice Cream, they looked both relative tired and each holding about 5 bags of clothes. In other words, they were broke and worn out. The P.A system came to life and told them:
" The mall will be closing in 15 minutes, Please if you have any shopping left to do, do it now and thank you for shopping at Hirohito Mall. Your Business is appreciated. Thank you and have a nice day."
Teri looked at Sayeka and opened her bag. She took out a long black dress, with straps and matching gloves. Sayeka looked at her and in her face saw that it was a little too sophisticated, even for her but Teri paid no attention to it.
 " I'm going to impress him with this, even if the dress kills me. " Teri smiled at her friend.
 " I think it is really too formal, it's okay when you're older and wiser and have tons of money and have fun on really cool dates, but this is your first one and you shouldn't try to intimidate him or even worse, make him too excited. That dress could kill any man within a 30 feet radius. " Sayeka said, slurping on her last bit of soda.
 " Well, thanks for your opinion but I'm going to wear it anyways. If looks could kill, them I'm for it. " Teri giggled loudly and snorted, embarrasing herself. She sat down quickly and looked at Sayeka.
 " Remind me never again to laugh and still have a drop of Coke in my mouth, okay? " Teri looked at Sayeka and suddenly they both started  laughing.
  As they walked out of the mall, she saw in the corner store a plush doll of one of her favorite anime characters.She heard it about a lot from Misato and her father and mother. It was an Utena UFO catcher doll. She smiled at it again, wondering what kind of Prince Hideaki was. She smiled at the doll once more and walked off. Teri couldn't help but notice what was going around her as she saw a young boy running towards her, with a purse in his hand. She stood her ground, and the boy, since he wasn't looking where he was going crashed into Teri and both of them fell off towards the ground. An older woman came running towards them, her short blonde hair twirling silently in the wind, her stauesque body gliding silently across the floor. She took the Teri's hand and got up on her feet.
Teri, apologetically bowed to the older woman and She smiled at her, a deep blush forming across her cheeks.
"Thank you, Thank you for stopping the thief. I  was talking into the phone when this twerp grabbed my purse and ran. You don't know how much I appreciate this." The older woman said.
" Ahh it's no problem, Ms..." Teri trailed off when she recognized the face. Ritsuko. She was alive after all these years, no longer in hiding, the young woman that she recognized had aged 15 years more since she saw her last. Ritsuko smiled at the young woman that was seeing her for the first time since the trail, where she was once a baby, she was now becoming a woman.
"Ritsuko-san, Ritsuko-san, I can't believe it's you." Teri said, her voice more frantic as Sayeka stared on. Teri hugged her old friend tightly, as did Ritsuko.
"Well, Teri-san, you have grown up a lot since the last time we saw each other. You were a cute baby back then but now, you are growing into a beautiful woman." Ritsuko, her voice changing from being surprised  to being somber. Teri noticed immediately in her deep brown eyes, that Ritsuko somehow changed, but a change for the better or for the worse, she wasn't sure.
"Ritsuko-san, I would like to invite you to dinner to my house and I could call up the others too. Believe me, they would be relieved to see you after all these years, specially Misato-san and Mom. I know that i'm acting on impulse here but would you accept? I'll let Mom and Dad know as soon as I finish shopping here." Teri said, her voice becoming hyper and quizically.
"I guess why not Teri-san, but I would like to visit an old friend first, if you don't mind. I just called her up and I told her that Ii was coming over, but here, " Ritsuko took a pen and a little notebook and wrote down her cellular phone number along with her pager number."Tell your Mom and Dad that I will be in a town for a few days so if they would like to call me, here are the numbers.I don't want to seem rude, but I gotta get going. She is expectime me at her house in 15 minutes." Ritsuko hugged Teri very tightly and kissed her on the cheek very softly. Teri blushed at the sensation of being touched by another woman, and she did the same to her.
"Well, I'll ca;; you Ritsuko-san but we also gotta get going. Mom is expecting me to call home anytime soon, plus I would like to meet you Sayeka, she is my best friend and I gotta get her home too." Ritsuko looked over to Sayeka, took her hand and shook it gently. Sayeka looked on as she was staring at a goddess and smiled gently.
" Nice to meet you, Sayeka-san, " Ritsuko said and bowed to her.
" Nice to meeet you too, Ritsuko-san, Sayeka said and bowed to Ritsuko.
Ritsuko looked on as the watch begin to emit a loud beeping sound. Ritsuko took notice to that and hugged Teri once more. She walked off gently and headed for the door while Teri looked on, surprised that her friend had come back. Sayeka walked over to Teri and shook her from the trance.
