Well this is set within the TV series continuity, and not the OAVs. I prefer
the OAVs over the TV series actually, since it has a cooler storyline.
However, In the OAV, Ryoko is Washu's daughter whereas in the TV series,
she's simply a space pirate and therefore, its the only way she and Sasami
could be the same person.
So cycle Ryoko's time travel even *further* back. Tsunami is part of
Sasami, but who were Tsunami's parents? Alternately, perhaps Ryoko was
the fusion of whatever Washu used plus some girl she found who time
travelled from the future?
