Hello. I am a newbie to the list, although not to the net or to fanfics, so please forgive any mistakes in my etiquette.

I have set up a very simple site for some fanfic writers to help me with. The challenge is to write a fadfic. Yes, with a d for dilapidation.

A fadfic is merely a fanfic based on one of the thousands of fads that have come, outstayed their welcome, and in most cases, gone. The full explanation is at http://www.geocities.com/quatranoctal/fadfic/index.html. If you read the setting, you will realise it is just as fad-like as the average fad, and that is my intention.

The first author to write a decent fic and send it to me will define any rules I have not stated, such as names and other details. I may make a contribution myself once I give up on my personal fanfic (which may make its way onto the list once I've written a bit more). You are free to write about any fad, although I'll be surprised if anyone writes a yo-yo fadfic.

Now that I've had my rant, I'll just go over to this little dark corner and crouch for a while.
