I reviewed the early parts of this when starting chapter 4, and
realized that my style had changed. Keeping the changes in mind
I extensively revised the Prologue and first chapter and a minor
revision on in the second. I feel this a strong improvement and felt
it was due for re-release, for the changes make it a different story.
As for the new stuff chapter 4 is 30% complete and should be
done by the end of the month. As always C&C is welcome

Prologue:
The board is set.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
It was a cloudless day on the barren plain. A large mountain of
flesh that was Ansla-Sax over shadowed the land. Floating above,
just a mote in comparison, was the wizard, Dark Schneider. His
long white hair and red cape flowed in waves on the air around him.
A momentary glance at his worn and bloodied companions, now at a safe
distance away, brought a smile to his eyes. Turning back to his
opponent, a slant took away the smile and Schneider tasted a taunt
upon his lips. But the taunt remained unsaid as the Destroyer of the
Old World gave voice to its thoughts.
"FOOLISH MORTAL I AM A GOD YOU CAN NOT DEFEAT ME."
This over conceited ego from such an ugly beast was the last
straw for the wizard. After all how could such an ugly thing hope to
defeat a handsome hero such as himself. "Stupid relic. If anyone
here is a god it is me."
Ansla-Sax ignored the claim of the foolish mortal as it began to
summon energies from the world around it.
MEGA' DESU
HARROWING
"I will not be stopped." Schneider said as he watched Ansla-Sax
shrug off his last series of attacks. I hope this works Schneider
thought to himself as he began the chant for another spell. I have
never used this spell because of the warning associated with it.
With that final thought Schneider released the spell.
NIGH' MA-RAY
Only to be countered by Ansla-Sax's attack.
VOID
The unnatural energies released by the two, collided and vied
for superiority. The energies swirled and fought against one another
forming a dark vortex of energy. The mental stain from controlling
the chaotic energies had brought a sweat to Schneider's brow.
Then suddenly the energies channeled by Ansla-Sax ceased in
their assault and Schneider's attack punched through, destroying
the destroyer.
Schneider's vision blurred as he lost consciousness and started
to fall from his flight above the plain. His body drained he felt
the stirrings of the seal placed upon his body take effect as he
shrunk into the youth know as Ruche Ran-Ran.
< POOF >
"WHHHAAAAA!!! Yoko!! Help me!!!" When the change occurred
Ruche found himself to be falling into a large swirling ball of
energy. Cries of distress were heard from the spectators when he
hit. Seconds latter the energy had dissipated without any sign of
the dark wizard's reappearance.
After he failed to return, the dark elf among them placed her
hand on the shoulders of the youngest member of the group, a sobbing
red head in need of comfort, and began to speak. "Do you think..."
"Don't worry. He'll be back." Interrupted the tall swordsman.
His wounds recently healed over, blood still staining his clothing.
"How can you say that after.."
"He always dose. Why should this be any different?"
"But Gara," the elf stopped when Gara raised his hand.
"It is his way." Lowering his hand to the red heads shoulder
Gara's demeanor changed slightly. "Don't worry Yoko. Won't Ruche
always pay back his debts? And he still owes you 50 yen." Turning
away Gara started on his way home. Pausing he turned back. "Well
then, are you coming? After a fight like that I could use some food.
Nei? Yoko? Kull-Su?"
The four slowly departed the plain, there thoughts on their
missing companion. The last to leave, Kull-Su, kept shaking his head
in uneasiness. There was something familiar about the energies used
at the end of that battle. Though he could not recall where he was
sure that he had felt those forces before.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
In a long forgotten castle, near the southern border of Saillune
and the Desert of Destruction, a dark mind brooded. Plotting his
revenge against the one that had refused him the greatness he so
deserved. He offered her the world to rule at his side. But she
spurned him. Splitting the world into four parts and setting his own
servants against him.
Soon he would have his revenge. Destroying all that she had
made. And it would begin with a single child. Not like those
genetically altered beasts he had made ages ago. No, this one would
be a true child, one he would control, absolutely loyal to him. It
would destroy her children and slay her pets. Then he would destroy
all that she had worked for and remake it as he saw fit. The blond
whore would pay. Then she would die.
Another presence entered into his dark abode. "You summoned me,
Great One." A mazoku said as he entered the presence of the dark
consciousness.
"You have done well Zeiram, this Castle will mask my presence
nicely. But, what of my other desires? Have you found me a suitable
sorceress? One sufficiently powerful for my plan?"
The dark clad mazoku bowed before his master. The brim of the
large hat it wore shadowed the white mask over his face. Its voice
emanated from behind the unmoving lips. "If it is a strong sorceress
you desire master, then the strongest would be Lina Inverse."
A small globe of light appeared then dimmed above Zeiram's
outstretched hand. As it did one could make out an image within. A
petite red head was blasting a gang of bandits with a series of
fireballs. She then finished them with a well, executed Dragon
Slave.
"Ah, yes, I can feel HER power in this one is very strong. And
I must say, she is rather lovely, if rather flat. Still she will do
nicely in my plans. Quickly, bring her to me, unharmed."
"As you command, my master."
When the Zeiram had left the man smiled and the room grew
darker. How ironic, he would destroy HER creation and, use one of
HER own to do it with. Though the thought brought a smile to his face
it did not touch his eyes. For his eyes were solid black and empty
of all pleasure.

Xellos smiled. Such a beautiful morning. The birds were
singing. The sun was shining. Ah, I just love mornings Xellos
thought as he leaned back against the roof of the inn. L-sama really
knew what she was doing when she made them. The way the sun slowly
and methodically continues to rise ever higher. Torturously waking the
denizens of the world. The way the animals seemed to even pitch in
for the task was masterful. Xellos almost glowed as he drank in the
groans of the townspeople. Oh how they begged for mercy or fought to
maintain their blissful sleep. All that effort will help them naught
for eventually they will succumb and be forced in to wakefulness. The
shear brilliance of it made Xellos want to break out into maniacal
laughter. Unfortunately that wasn't his style so he just smiled.
