(and he's *good*), but he's the strong, silent type
and he's got
enough angst for an entire country (not so good).
Aoshi? As Oogami? No way. He's a male version of
Maria. Okay, a terminally depressed Maria.
3. Iris Chateurbran. 9-year old French esper girl.
You forgot the fact that Iris can teleport as
well... I'd say the
best personality match here would actually be Asuza
from Ranma 1/2
*without* the Uber-Kawaii fixation - although I
don't know how much
characterization you actually *want* to keep,
sooo...
Well, if I let Ranma (who else fits the bill of
an unintentional casanova so well? okay, Tenchi does,
but I feel more comfortable writing Ranma) be Oogami,
he would still be arrogant... But I think his
brilliant strategy, natural combat talent, and most of
all a charisma that arises from confidence would come
to good use here.
Again, if you want to have the *least* number of
series involved,
I'd say Sasami, though she's not, IMO, anywhere as
petulant as Iris.

6. Li Kouran. Chinese mad scientist with glasses,
Kansai dialect, and happy-go-lucky attitude.
Shame on you! You forgot about Washuu-chan! :)
I think she'd be
near-perfect for the role, if you give her what
Kouran has to work
with and take away her computers, though Skuld would
be a close
second choice.
Washuu would be too competent for this role.
Kouran screws up regularly, after all...
7. Kirishima Kanna. If it wasn't for her very large
chest, many people would mistake her for a hunky
man.
I'm actually at a loss here... both of them have
a lot of
potential in my opinion, though if you want to have
the *least*
number of series involved, Ryoko would be your best
choice - you
could cast Kanzaki Sumire as Aeka - her natural
arrogance and
animosity towards Ryoko will do the rest.
Hmm... Will have to consider that angle.
