Actually, it's a sort of coat that was popular in Japan
a few years ago, or so I'm told. Gary. After a while, happi
coats became a sort of Yakuza chic, and popular with the wanna-be
toughs of Tokyo, thereby falling back out of fashion for a while.
I don't know where it stands in the fashion world today,
tho. My appologies.
