I'm not sure where in Yosho's lineage Noboyuki fits in, but if
Noboyuki wasn't related to Yosho at all, Tenchi would be 1/4 Juraian
(since Achika was 1/2). So Tenchi is somewhere between 1/4 to 1/2
Juraian.
As pointed out, there is no way Tenchi is less than one fourth Jurian.
So basically, 1/8 Jurian is impossible. Regardless of Noboyuki's lineage,
Achika was 1/2 Jurian. [or Tenchi's mother no matter what you call her,
not sure if her name was ever mentioned in OAV cont.] Therefore even if
Noboyuki was a completely pure human, that would make Tenchi no less than
one fourth Jurian. It's simple math.
Unfortunately, that's not how genetics works. Whether or not Tenchi is
Jurian or human won't matter much. I know some of you people took a
biology class. All that would matter in Tenchi's genetic structure would
be the dominant genes. Meaning, he could have generations upon
generations of children and still pass on his full [or even amplified]
Jurian powers if the genes for such things superceded the human genes.
That is after all what's important after all. Mostly it's a matter of
which genes would be more dominant, his Jurian blood or his Human blood?
Some Jurian traits may get breeded out, but from the way Tenchi uses his
powers I'll bet that using the Jurian energy isn't one of the things that
would get bred out easily.
I'll say it again a little simplified... The only way that they would
lose their powers was if there were human genes that were dominant over
that particular gene in a Jurian. From what I've seen in cannon Tenchi,
that seems pretty doubtful.
Point two, why it is irrelevant. The greatest scientific genius in the
Universe would be sure to keep her days interesting. Poking around with
Jurian powers and breeding the perfect cross breed Human/Jurian would be
a good way for her to pass time.
It would even be easy for her to do subtly, without anyone really
knowing she was doing it. A little prod from time to time so to speak.
If you're saying that such things are impossible and that such genes
would eventually get deluted over time. All I have to say is this: This
is how we make new breeds of dogs, livestock, even plants.
Also, considering the lax attitude towards inbreeding in Tenchi Muyou.
[After all Ayeka wanted to marry her brother, and she is Tenchi's aunt,
Sasami is as well if you think about it.] A few close to pure bred
Jurians would not be unfesable.
There's something for all you BGC fanfic writers to chew on. [Is it just
me, or does every fanfic that takes place in the future nowadays seem to
be a BGC fic? Or at least a x-over with it.]
