could, although not quite in the same way as a human (or humanoid)
did.  Her priorities normally ran along three paths--

You seem to be overlooking the fact that Ryo-oh-ki's most
important job is to be Ryoko's pirate ship.  It's not the kind
of thing the simpleminded would be successful at.  That being
the case...

"AFFECTIONATE?  HER?  WITH MY TENCHI?" squawked Ryoko in shock.
The concept was almost alien (Sorry!) to her.  Not only Ayeka as a
rival, but... but a CABBIT?

...the relationship Ryo-oh-ki has with Ryoko is a lot different
from the one she has with Aeka.  For Ryoko, seeing Ryo-oh-ki put
the moves on Tenchi would be almost like being betrayed by a
sister.

With great enthusiasm, she began the base research into making
Ryo-oh-ki a boyfriend.

I can't imagine he'd be too different from Ken-oh-ki.  CIAO!

Yeah, I know this is probably more consideration than you'd really
expect to put into a one-hour fic, but I think you were able to
write more in this story than most other people did who took the
challenge before.  There's enough material here to make it possible
to talk about characerization and canonicity.
