I suppose it simply depends on your POV. I like to believe I can
remain
detatched and still write a good story filled with emotion. I
like to believe
I've suceeded. I'd like to believe I'm rich and famous.
That last one I'm working on :-)
Aren't we all. ^_^
Not to put you or any other detached writer down, I
simply believe that an emotional writer will have
more potential to write an emotional fic than a
detached writer. But a detached writer can still
write emotional stories. Confusing? Maybe.
But that's what a I believe.
Still, there is something to be said for getting emotionally
involved. I
suppose it simply boils down to the athsetics of style.
Yup. Although one style will result more likely in
one kind of work, while another style will result
in a different one, respectively.
Some may favor emotional involvement, and some, like me, favor
detatchment.
This is what makes fanfic so interesting.
I think it balances out. I truly believe that an emotional writer
will have a more emotional fic, but a detached writer will
have a more sensible fic.
>From there, it's the reader's preference that decides
how good the fic is.
