The following is a partial treatise on some well-documented
anime diseases. This list has been prepared in the hope of
bettering public knowledge of disease. As they say, knowledge
is the best way to prevent a disease, and an ounce of
prevention is worth a pound of cure.
----------------------
Fang Syndrome - this is a special physical affliction which is
hypothetically caused by a mildly disfunctional thyroid
gland. The disorder causes a sharp growth of the two
upper canines of the individual, enlarging and swelling
them beyond normal proportions. The effect often causes
a similarity to a vampire, to the misfortune of the
patient. Fortunately, no further indications or side
effects have been recorded as a result of this syndrome.
One well-known case of Fang Syndrome is documented in
Konan-kuni, where a bandit known as Tasuki has contracted
this particular disease. Another well-documented case is
found in Nerima-ku, Tokyo, where a martial artist known
as Hibiki Ryouga has been observed to have this disease
for years.
Nakago Syndrome - this is a severe personality disorder which
is the result of an over-inflated ego. The patient
believes that he or she is invincible, and cannot be
harmed by any one individual. This is a very dangerous
disease and is often known to result in severe crippling
or even death.
The symptoms are readily apparent, and include the patient
granting unexplained mercy to opponents vanquished on the
battlefield. The patient may also procrastinate from time
to time, with the mentality that he or she can make up for
any lost time with his exceptional prowess.
The first signs of these symptoms is often indicative
of a horrible, violent death! You have been warned.
The syndrome was named after the warlord known as
Nakago, whose severe case prompted the medical world
to acknowledge the syndrome as a fatal disease, as
opposed to it traditionally being viewed as a mild
psychological neuroticism.
Gokou Syndrome - this is a severe physiological imbalance wherein
an individual's level of power consumption far exceeds his
power intake. It can best be described as a hyper-active
metabolism. It usually afflicts individuals who utilize
vast amounts of energy for everyday activities such as
fighting, running, and other physical activities.
The disorder does not have very many symptoms; indeed, the
only visible sign of the disorder is an excessive appetite.
The result is that the individual becomes extremely hungry
even after just short periods of time after meals, and the
afflicted can consume great quantities of food, even those
greater than the individual's body mass, with little difficulty.
The disorder is more common among males, although several
cases document females suffering the syndrome as well.
While not particularly life-threatening, this disorder
can be very inconvenient for it can cause severe hunger
pangs for the afflicted, especially after (or even during)
strenuous activity.
The syndrome was named after a Saiya-jin known as Son Gokou,
the first humanoid observed to display symptoms of the disorder.
The disorder has since become more widespread, and even the
female population is beginning to exhibit the syndrome
more frequently.
Kenshin Syndrome - this is a complex personality disorder which is
often the result of severe emotional trauma.
This disease often affects jobless individuals who are
suffering from severe guilt, often from causing much pain and
hardship to others.
The signs of this disease are limited, and the disease itself
is very difficult to diagnose. More often, the afflicted simply
is mistaken to have a very humiliating lifestyle. Afflicted
individuals often enjoy self-debasement and an extreme, obsessive
desire to help others.
Advanced stages of the disease cause the individual to spout
out gibberish and philosophical non-sense in order to convince
others that of what to do.
The disease was named after a certain Hiruma Kenshin, who was
said to have been in such an advanced stage of the disease
that he was actually able to use his incoherent ramblings to
cause people to change their lives and see a different way
of things.
Arislan Syndrome - a mild physical disorder which is known only to
affect males. The causes for this syndrome are vague and not
fully understood, although it is suspected that heredity is
a major factor.
The symptoms of this disease are fairly easy to detect. It
is important to notice that this disease is often a life-long
disease, contracted close to birth or at a very young age.
At childhood, the child is noted to display the markings of
a bishounen. Indeed, more than 99% of the recorded cases of
this disease bring forth true-blooded bishounens.
Regardless of whether they become bishounen or not, the disease
is uncurable once contracted. Starting in their teens, the
the individual's facial features undergo a strange metamorphesis.
The facial features suddenly transform to resemble a woman.
Not only a woman, but a very beautiful woman. The face of such
a man is so exquisite that it will almost always surpass the
beauty of any real woman within the vicinity.
While it is not a particularly life-threatening disease,
there have been instances of severe jealousy among the
local women population which has often resulted in violence
for the afflicted individual.
It is a fairly common disease, although the most severe
cases are all reported in Kadokawa Shoten land. Such cases
are so highly-advanced that Kadokawa Shoten land is often
referred to as "The Land of the Beautiful Men."

Sorry guys, I was feeling bored and decided to post this
while I was stuck with my other fics. Actually, this segment
is part of the manual for one of my fics, so it's not really
spam.
