A bit of a teaser for Day four of Seven Days. . .

"Yes ma'am." He said, standing and walking towards the bathroom. As he
passed, Lina, he ran his hand over her hair. It was simple act, but she
closed her eyes and sighed happily.
Then as he disappeared into the bathing area, Linna started to get up only to
be stopped by Sylia's hand.
"He doesn't need help washing his back." She said firmly.
"But-"
"Next time," Sylia said firmly. "You two need a little breathing room."
"Breathing room?"
"Trust me on this." Sylia said sagely. "Even Newlyweds have to spend a little
time apart, and it will help you get your mind centered again."
"How do you know that?"
"After my father died, I was raised by Henderson and his wife, Akane. She
told me the same thing when I turned sixteen that I just told you."
"Who told her?"
"Her older sister and her first husband's mother I understand. She never
talked about when she was growing up, and I didn't push."
"Sounds like my Grandmother Ukyo," Linna mused as she peeled an orange. "She
never talked much about her childhood either. But she made the best
okonomiyaki you ever tasted. She died right before I graduated from high
school."
"I'm sorry," Sylia said quietly.
"No," Linna shook her head. "She lived a good long life and went peacefully
in her sleep. Its the best anyone could hope for."
