My first comment on this: I agree with the person who said it was better to
take it off list, unless hordes of subscribers pipe up and say they are
enjoying the discussion.
Second, I have one observation to make about the comments:

@@IMO while this is a very interesting story concept, this needs to be better
devloped within this story. As an _original_ story this would be much easier.
Dealing with established characters causes problems specific to writing
fanfic. Again, IMO, while it is certainly possible to postulate Ranma as a
girl, originally, and Ranma and Akane as childhood friends there needs to be
more detail to make this believable.
I guess this is where I disagree. I don't see why the fact that Ranma and
Akane are existing characters mean they need to be treated differently. The
idea here is that their behavior in this story is consistent with their
behavior in the first few volumes of the manga. It's an alternate
explanation for that behavior. If your images of Ranma and Akane are based
on the totality of their behavior in the whole manga and the whole anime
series, then clearly they would seem OOC. But this story asks a "what if" in
the context of the early days. In the context of those first few volumes, I
thin they are IC. Maybe I need to make that more clear.
