Two ideas, actually, that could possibly be merged into one.
The idea started as this: What if Ranma had some sort of psychic link to an
alternate-universe version of himself that was a girl?
Then, it evolved via a thinking process on how such a link would work, and
dropping the original eventually became this:

Where there's two people and they have some sort of seizures and one of them
blacks out and is sort of seeing out of the other's eyes for a while [about
8 hours]
i think that my idea is self-explanatory, and it wouldn't really matter who
had the link to who else, it could be two regulars, an alternate-universe
version, a regular and an alternate-universe version of another regular, a
complete stranger to the cast, anything. Possibly Ranma/Obligatory-Author-
Biased-Fiancee? [although Akane would really 'fit' the role better, personal
preferences aside.] Make it one of the Kuno's to make it really silly...
