Here Comes an old challenger:Prologue

Cologne listened intently as Shampoo relayed to her the events of the day.
Shampoo was trying to hide it, but it was obvious to Cologne that she was near tears.
"And then, just when Ranma about to say he take Shampoo to date, stupid
Spatula Girl appear and ruin everything."
"I see. Do not worry child, everything will turn out all right in the end.
I have a plan that is sure to work. Now go to sleep. You will need your strength
tomorrow."
"Yes, Great Grandmother."
Cologne watched as Shampoo slowly got up and made her way to her room. When
she heard the door close she got up from where she was seated and went to her own
room. Taking a small container from a false panel in the wall, she took out a small
piece of crystal. Cut to resemble a diamond, it reflected the light perfectly. No
imperfections could be found on it's surface. However, the polished surface was not
what made it special. Inside the crystal was a white flower. The flower had long
petals that pointed upwards, not unlike a tulip.
"I did not expect to have to use this so soon, son-in-law." she said to no
one in particular.
Grasping the crystal in both hands, she began chanting in a seemingly alien
language. Slowly, she closed her eyes. She remained in this position for most of
the night, holding the crystal and chanting. Minutes before the break of dawn, the
crystal began to glow. First, it was a small light, light that of a firefly. Slowly
the light grew in intensity until the whole room was bathed in it.
After a while, the light subsided. The flower in the crystal now appeared to
have wilted. Opening her eyes, Cologne realized that it was already morning. Putting
away the crystal, she reflected on what she had done.
"It took longer than I thought." was all she uttered.
Making her way to the mirror, she peered into it to check if the crystal was
effective. One look assured her that it did the job. Her lips curled into a smile.
After all, if Shampoo's reports were to be believed, Ranma could barely deal with one
gorgeous amazon as it was. How on earth would he deal with two?
Author's notes:
Someone commented to me a while back that I could pair Ranma up with Cologne
for all he cared (gomen nasai, I can't remember his name). That got me thinking.
(wow! thinking? me?) What would happen if Cologne were to regain her youth. I mean
she _did_ show some interest in Ranma (you know, in the episode where he swallowed
the love pill that lasts for an instant). What do you guys think? Should I continue
this? Has this been done before? I don't think so but with the sheer number of fics
out there I'm not really sure. Send C&C to ex_fuk@yahoo.com. Oh, and can somebody
help me come up with a better title? I'm clueless with these things.
BTW: this doesn't mean that I'm necessarily going to pair Ranma up with Cologne, I
just made it a possibility.
