I am sorry to have to do this again so relatively soon after the last chain
message post. This list is for anime fanfiction, and the rules against
chain letters are a part of what keeps it (generally) on-topic. No matter
the worth or legitimacy of the cause, the FFML is not to be used as a
recruitment centre.
As the FAQ clearly states:
*3) DO NOT POST CHAIN MESSAGES TO THE LIST!!!
*
*Be forewarned that anyone posting a chain message to the FFML will be
*immediately banned. Chain messages include any E-mail that instructs
*the recipient to forward it to as many people as possible, especially
*computer virus warnings.
I am legitimately allowed under the rules of the FFML to hand out a
permanent postban to jmm769s@mail.smsu.edu for posting a chain message to
the list. As was the case the last time this happened, I am choosing not
to do so, and am instead imposing a one-month postban upon him.
I fear that this may create an "it's worth it" mentality in the future,
wherein people decide that it's worth taking a one-month postban in order
to get their message out. To avoid this, let me state up front that I
_will_ permanently postban the next person who posts a chain message to the
FFML, whatever their cause, whatever their reasons.
Thank you.
