This is an excellent idea, I do think it's a little bit rushed, but I
still like it a lot, and probably wouldn't have the patience to drag it
out as far as you did. Then again my writing style deals more with
Darkfics and out and out comedies. Still, you do have a few problems.
The biggest things are all I'll mention since you've been getting a lot
of mail I see. First off: Cat's Tongue Shiatsu. It did not "Lock Ranma in
his curse." It made hot water unbearably hot for her to touch, and had
nothing to do with preventing her curse from working. All it did was make
his body super sensative so he didn't want to change back bad enough to
deal with the pain. [His super sensitive body also made training for the
Katsu Tenshin Amaguriken difficult too.] If he went to Cologne for help
he would not mention this to her.
It should also be noted that unless the Shiatsu wore off eventually.
[The way it was used in the Manga suggested it didn't ever wear off,
ever.] The Pheonix pill doesn't either, when Ranma got it she became
immuned to the Cat's Tongue anyway.
If Cologne used the Cat's Toungue on Ranma again [and it worked] all
that would happen is this; She'd become a hot water magnet, and it would
hurt a lot more than normal. I like your idea for Chisusiston water, but
bear in mind that neither Shampoo nor Mousse knew about the Musk Dynasty
when Herb showed up in the cannon story. Herb, Lime, and Mint are pretty
much the last reminants of the tribe as well.
The next thing that really caught my attention is the Amazon thing. I
agree in some of what you mentioned, but in a tribe like the Amazon's
it's very likely that lesbianism is accepted, if not formally condoned.
It's a nit pick that one.
Another thing you should remember is that Shampoo is off the hook for
not killing Ranma. She coudn't do it when she thought Ranma was a girl.
[End of Vol.3, She never even found out Ranma was really a boy until
after she returned from China again.] She was punished for failing by
being cursed at Jusenkyo by Cologne.
Therefore she would probably not have to honor her kiss of death any
longer.
If you want to go with a good running gag, have Shampoo chase after
Ranma anyway. Cologne could accept it, and Mousse would probably get
really depressed and start wondering if that was why she never returned
his affections. Thusly redoubling his efforts.
Kuno's reaction alone would be worth the trouble.
