Standard disclaimer- I don't own these characters, so don't sue me.
This is the second chapter I've revised because I've gotten some
feedback with my *ahem* mistakes. C&C is welcome.

Usagi slowly sat on the blue comforter with the bunnies and stars
that once had brought her great joy, and she thought. Thinking about
how Kami has a sick sense of humor and it always seemed to glance
in her direction.
Like today.
*~*~*~*
Usagi had had to leave the senshi meeting early, due to the fact of an
appointment at a new doctor, Dr. Ono Tofu. Usagi hadn't gotten very
far when she realized she had forgot her purse in the temple. She
cursed under her breath and dashed back, heels clicking on the pavement.

When she got back, she paused before entering, to make sure she at least
seemed presentable, it was after all her birthday today. As she was brushing
the dust off her dress, Usagi heard some things no one deserves to hear
about herself. Especially from their friends!

Rei and Mamoru were indulging in activities not done till marriage, and the
senshi were discussing her faults and what a bad leader she was, completely
leaving out Usagi's good points.

'Minna-chan?' she whispered. Minako heard that barest whisper and motioned
to the senshi. They all turned in time to see

Usagi rush down the street crying her eyes out, not her usual bawling, but
real,
bitter tears that seemed to rip apart her soul inside.

It was at that moment that Haruka walked in. "Minna-san! Did you know today
is
Usagi's birthday?"
*~*~*~*~*
Usagi chided herself for thinking about it again. She had been ignoring the
calls of
the senshi for two days now and refused to see them when they came to the
door.
She explained to her mom she was sick and didn't go to school.

Usagi reached in her bottom drawer and carefully sorted through the
stationary until
she came across a haphazard stack of muted blues. Drawing them up on her
lap,
Usagi now knew why she had bought this stationary so long ago. Little blue
moons
and silver stars winked up at her on the stationary as a waft of her French
perfume,
Amor, reached her nose.

Pulling out a pen, Usagi sat at her vanity and started to write each of the
five letters,
not noticing or caring anymore, when a tear fell off her pale face onto the
letter she
was writing.
~*~*~*~
When she was done, Usagi took up her brooch and transformed into Eternal
Sailor
Moon. As her alternate self, she took a deep breath and called up the
wellspring of
powers lying deep in her. Then, eyes snapping open, a burst of light and she
teleported
to Minako's room, leaving a letter on her dresser. Mina-chan was the leader
of the
senshi when Sailor Moon wasn't in residence.

Then, pulling up more power, she re-appeared in a shower of light at Mamoru'
s
apartment.

Usagi wasn't sure she could face his bedroom yet, knowing what she would
find
within.

Taking a deep breath and steeling herself, she slipped into Mamoru's
bedroom.

The tears were fast in coming and few in number as she watched with a sort
of horrid
fascination when Rei and Mamoru reached their climax and fell asleep
instantly, the
clash of energies leaving them exhausted. Their sweaty bodies glistened in
the soft
light of a single flickering candle. As she stared at it with hard eyes, it
disappeared,
not even a trail of smoke to mark it's exit.

Coldly staring at the two lying in bed, Usagi decided her grieving was over
for the
two who had caused these emotions in her rise up. Hatred and vengeance
bubbled up
deep inside her as she looked on the room with a sort of detachment.

Usagi didn't leave a letter at the Outer's house due to the fact that
Setsuna would sense
the moment of her death and wake them.

Teleporting back to her room, she willed everything in the house to sleep,
all obeying a
Queen's touch. For Usagi was a Queen now, she had lived the prophecy
foretold in the
days before the line of Serenity was formed.

No one knew of these powers or the prophecy, let them think her a weak,
pathetic loser,
she thought with a surprising amount of tranquillity. Usagi had come to a
conclusion about
herself, her life, and her future. Now, she would live, or die, with the
repercussions.
Demo, Usagi wasn't afraid, she knew, and knowledge was everything in the
universe.

Though, before the final stage of her plan could be put through, she had one
final stop.
~*~*~*~
Softly landing in an apartment much like the one she visited earlier, Usagi
padded to a
certain door at the end of a very familiar hall. Carefully turning the knob,
Usagi walked
into a sparsely furnished room.

Taking in the surroundings, her eyes lit upon the figure tossing and turning
on the bed in the
midst of a nightmare. Usagi smiled, Seiya always did have an unusual bond
with her.

Looking down on his sleeping face, Usagi was glad that being Queen entitled
her to a few
privileges. Namely being the knowledge of the universe. Usagi knew how the
universe was
created, the balance of forces all acting on the same spot in a nameless
void. The Void and
Chaos then clashed and twined, creating female and male.

Naturally, each side of these halves opposed each other and refused to blend
like
they once were. One crafty force though, found a way to combine them at
least a
short while and the force created Earth in the midst of chunks of dead rock.

Enticing Yin and Yang to the planet, the force later known as Fate placed a
gaes
on them. Both would grow into maturity from the womb of a woman. The male
would then spend his life searching for the other half of his soul, both
male and female
creations of the two Great Ones. Woman being Void and man Chaos. Together
they
created the Dance.

Usagi knew this and she knew the threads of the Void. In a way, she was the
original
Void re-incarnated. Fate hovered at Her shoulder and Chaos stood to her
right side.
Only Chaos re-incarnated could court her, and only Chaos could love her,
truly, fully,
completely.

Usagi thought Mamoru was Chaos re-incarnate until she had met Seiya. That,
she mused, was probably when she reached the first insight and began the
path to
Queen. The prophecy had come to her in a dream, telling her that Seiya had
trials
to face and obstacles to pass.

Usagi knew.

So she left the letter dresser and for a brief moment of time, she felt
almost
happy knowing that her death would result in lasting happiness. It almost
seemed fitting somehow, her death birthing her second life. Usagi was at
peace
when she looked at his face. She knew what she had to do, making the
ultimate
sacrifice for the future to be brought to full fruition.

Usagi kissed Seiya passionately on the lips. The Law said she remained
virgin
in all ways until Chaos came and consummated the ancient pact. Though for
now,
she ignored the Law and wrapped Seiya in ivory arms. The sleep spell playing
at
his mind, Usagi commenced activation and stepped back. A slight smile edged
his
lips as he fell into deep sleep, faint memories of ancient kisses fogging
his mind.

Usagi sighed, wishing for it all to be over with so she could lay in her
consort's
arms again.

Lifting a delicate hand, Usagi snagged a reality thread and landed back in
her
bedroom.

Conjuring up the ancient sword of times long past, she closed her eyes and
held
up both hands in a gesture close to someone begging supplication for an evil
deed. "Heed me now forces that birthed me, ancient elements of light and
dark,
the Prophecy is coming to a close, heed me now and activate the cycle once
more!"

Eyes snapping open, she watched steadily as the room glowed briefly with all
the
colors of darkness and light. A ebony sword dappled with silver threads and
inset
sapphires appeared shimmering in the air by her chest.

Dual voices echoed in the air. "What do you give in return, Child of Our
Blood?"

The voice was everywhere, yet nowhere. "I give you life energy! I fulfill
the
ancient Prophecy telling of the Coming!" she screamed.

"Then it will be done!" A whirlwind centered on her as the sword sucked the
air
into itself, solidifying into this dimension.

Concentrating the blade up and the night's emotions and revelations echoed
in her
fuzzy mind. Usagi was tired.so tired.

Holding up the blade, tip shining, she prepared for the plunge.

Luna stirred, the foggy sleep was difficult to surface from. Lightning
pulsed at
the top of the misty ocean she had been thrown into, waking Luna up with a
jolt.
Feeling the gathering of energy, she knew, and Luna also knew she couldn't
stop it.
The knowledge ached inside her heart as she prepared to at least try.

Usagi held the blade above her heart and called upon the forces inside.

Then her face hardened and she plunged the blade straight into her body,
flesh
parting like Usagi's ruby stained lips. The bloody wine of life gushed forth
from the
lips of a queen.

Usagi managed a small smile at Luna and finished the spell.

The gizunshou shone brightly and disappeared with a white flash.
~*~*~*~*~
"Deepening of the dark, welcome a hunter of the night into your arms, oh
Great
Ones who created I, Void, Female, Myself. Myself unto myself. I leave this
confining
flesh to be my true self, I.cast this.body upon the.stones of.humanity.

"Heart. be true.eternally for.Him."

The remnants of power being gathered.

"I LIE IN THE ARMS OF CHAOS HIMSELF! MY PLEA IS THE ESSENCE!
I AM NO ONE'S SLAVE!"

Falling limp, there was a pause in which Luna scampered up to the
unnaturally still body
lying in the growing pool of blood.
Whimpering Luna backed away.
~*~*~*~*~
A single blood curling scream could be heard echoing off the silent, lonely
streets of a
place that had once been seen as Crystal Tokyo.
