Agent Aika
Shampoo: No it Agent Shampoo!
Battle: No your name is Aika
Shampoo: Humph
Aika was unhappy at her ersatz boyfriend. Well he
thought he was her boyfriend, she disagreed. He had wrecked
yet another salvage of hers.
"Damn it, Rion"
"Umm.. It's Nene"
"Nene?"
"Yeah its Nene"
"Does that mean Shampoo can use her name?"
The author walks in, mallets both of them.
"NO!"
The author walks back out.
Aika worked with Rion in a Salvage operation for
Rion's Father. Their findings lately had been getting
better. Thus the money was getting better. They might even
be able to get into the black next quarter if things picked
up. The Delmo had been out of the picture for almost a
year. That fiasco with the Largo energy and the 'destroy
the world and become next Adam' guy.
At this point they were deep underwater attempting to
find a lost package of the then Nibunichi corperation. Now
a new conglomerate had taken them over and has put a bounty
out on any retrievable data from the corperation's old
holding. Aika had decided to snoop around near where
Nibunichi's old HQ had been located before the flood. Rion
had managed some how to upgrade the sensors on their sub so
they would have a chance to find stuff even under quite a
few feet of debris.
"Hey, I'm good with sensors. Sheesh," Nene commented.
"Aika, I'm picking up a possible target. 200, 210, 400 "
"Ok, moving to check it out"
Aika skillfully moved the sub over the target and extended
her grappling arms. Moving them she unearthed a large
suitcased sized case.
"Rion what do the scans read it as?"
"They read as Nibunichi. We've found something but what?"
"Oh well. We found something now how much they going to pay
Aika and us to find it"
The payment wasn't as much as Aika and Rion expected
of such a much advertised bounty. The company's reps said
the bounty was lowered due to the cost of advertising it to
all the salvagers.
"Aika think you trying to cheat us. Rion do you have
Shampoo's bonbori in back of car?"
"Aika, umm are you sure that's wise?"
"Why you ask, Rion?"
"They might not want to go the hospital"
The company reps at this point were getting uneasy.
Aika went around to the trunk of the car and took out on of
her bonbori.
The company reps gulped as she wielded the weapon.
"Well I suppose we could give you a bonus"
Aika walked over to a nearby telephone post.
"Aika, you not going to knock over another one?"
"Aika can knock over any telephone pole she want to!"
The company reps at this point decided a weapon-wielding
maniac was not worth long hospital damage, quickly handed
over the check to Rion and made a quick getaway.
"Aika, you know we're not going to get any jobs from that
company?"
"Aika no care. She want to get paid for work. If they no
offer work then Aika work for someone else."
Rion shook her head. Aika was a real pain to get along with
but no one could handle the grapplers quite like she could.
If only she could stop the random acts of violence when it
came to delivery.
At the office Rion's father was berating Aika once
again for her violent streak.
"Aika no care if the have to replace truck. Aika was trying
to prove point."
"Aika, ripping the engine block out of a truck with your
bare hand doesn't get you customers. Never mind that. We
have another job."
"Oh" Aika replied.
"You and Rion are to salvage a data chip in a case from an
old research lab from a company called Genom."
Author noted: well there you have it!
