Ranma 1/2 is owned by Rumiko Takahashi. Animaniacs are owned by Warner Bros.
[The Warner Bros, Yakko and Wakko, and their sister Dot walk onto the set of
Ranma 1/2. A tall, young man in jeans and a black shirt meets them.]
Yakko: [Looks up] Hello. We're looking for a Rainman.
Man: [smile] That would be me.
Wakko: [frown] You can't be a Rainman.
Rainman: [blink] Huh? Of course I am. I called you three out here.
Dot: So, where's your rain cloud and whatever you use to make it rain?
Rainman: Cloud? What are you--[realizes]--oh! no, Rainman's just my nickname.
Dot: [peering closely at him] But we thought you were a god. Aren't you?
Rainman: [chuckle] Of course not.
[The sounds of thunder echo throughout the set, startling the young man. The
Warners take three steps back as a dark cloud appear over his head. Just as
Rainman looks up, it opens up, releasing a torrent of rain upon him,
drenching him to the bone. One lightning bolt and a charred man later, the
cloud disappears as if it was never there.]
[Ernie Hudson walks by the electrocuted Rainman. He stops to look at him.]
Ernie: If someone asks if you are a god, you're suppose to say "YES!" Didn't
you watch Ghostbusters when you were a kid? [walks off]
Rainman: [blows a puff of smoke] Now he tells me... [falls out]
[Yakko, Wakko, and Dot shrug, then turn to the camera.]
Yakko: Well, now that's cleared up, on to the Ranma 1/2 Show! [throws out
his hand, index pointed out] Hit it!
[Screen goes black, only to be picked up by a piano playing the Animaniacs
Theme song.]
[The Warners' heads pop up on the screen and begin to sing.]
It's time for the
Ranma 1/2 Show
And their curses from Jusenkyo.
So sit back and relax;
You'll laugh until you collapse
On the Ranma 1/2 Show!
[Screen goes to a photo shot of a youth with a long, black pigtail, another
dark haired youth with glasses, but no pigtail, and a fiery redhead with long
flowing hair done in a pigtail like the first.]
Come join the Saotome siblings,
Ranma, Tenma, and Ranko,
As they travel up to China
And land at Jusenkyou.
[Saotome siblings take over singing.]
Now we're cursed to become the Warners
Yakko, Wakko, and their sister Dot.
We ran back to Japan
And met a man
Who engages us all on the spot. [Saotome siblings facefaulting at the feet of
Soun Tendo and his three daughters.]
[The Warners take over the singing.]
The Ranma 1/2 Show.
Kasumi cleans while on the go.
The martial artists take their whacks
While Nabiki collect greenbacks [Nabiki happily thumbs through a wad of yen
while carnage takes place behind her.]
On the Ranma 1/2 Show!
[Wakko plays the xylophones upon the heads of Soun, Genma, Kunou, Happousai,
Ryouga, and Mousse. The scene changes to Kunou thrusting a dozen roses to
Akane.]
Kunou proclaims love for Akane
But she just gives him the boot. [Akane punts him away, then scene switches
to Kodachi laughing.]
Kodachi's a bit wacky
But we don't mind 'cause she's cute.
[A still shot of Ryouga scratching his head and holding a map while stand in
front of the Kremlin in Russia, then a change to a purple feathered Owl from
Winnie the Pooh holding a bonbori.]
Ryouga's always lost,
And Shampoo's curse is quite a hoot.
She's chased by Mousse
Who has a screw loose,
But Cologne makes that point moot. [Slide show of Mousse running after
Shampoo au natural only to whapped in the head by Cologne's staff.]
The Ranma 1/2 Show
Genma schemes while Soun's tears flow.
[Switch from Soun flooding the house to a wrinkled, short, old man with a
bulging sack, a pair of panties hanging out at the top.]
Happousai's sack will still grow
And our pants are full of snow. [Dot pouring snow into Yakko's pants, God
only knows why. Final spread shot of the whole cast singing along.]
We're animated
With fights instigated.
Tenma: [holding up the ratings sign] TV 14 rated.
[All]
On the Ranma 1/2 Show!!
[Cut to The Warners with a kettle of hot water held overhead.]
Warners: It's time to go.
[Water splashes down upon them and the screen, fading it to black.]
Don't ask. It's something that popped into my head for no apparent reason,
and it won't go away until it's expressed itself to the world. There will be
a bunch of snips from the show later on. It won't become a series like
Kasumi 1/2 and A Twisted Fate.
And yes, I'm still working on them. A Twisted Fate Chapter 3 is titled "Of
Bokkens and Oni," a two parter. With any luck, it will be released within a
couple of weeks from now, as I'm managing to get in some free time after mid
term.
