Part 4  "Getting to Know You"

       While Reenie and Diana went to hear Lita and Raye sing, Amy,
Serena, and Mina grouped together.
       "Well?" Amy began.
       "Something way weird's going on," Serena whispered out, "I mean
Reenie isn't actin' right. And Diana..." The little girl just shook her
head slightly. "Something's majorly wrong."
       Mina gave Serena a dubious look. "You sure it just isn't you
missing the other Reenie?" She grinned as Serena gave her an annoyed
look.
       <Who'd miss that spore?> Serena thought. "What about you, Ames?
Any sign of Lita?"
       "No, Lita didn't make it," Amy replied softly and glanced over
to where the two six year olds were singing, "That Lita is this
universe's Lita... although I think you are correct, Serena, something
has happened."
       "No way! You mean Serena might actually be right?" Mina
squeaked.
       Seeing that this had drawn the other's attention, Serena
cheered, "Yea! Raye 'n' Lita sing good! Sing another one!" Her small
friends obliged and launched into a song about a bunny, so what Mina and
Amy said next passed right by Serena.
       "Mina," Amy whispered, "Be careful."
       "Sorry," Mina whispered back, "But I thought Serena was just
kidding us. Reenie looks okay so what can we do that the other us
can't?"
       "Shhh..." Serena mumbled out as she grinned at the song. <Maybe
I should go sing too. Lita's not too good.> She took a couple of steps
toward the pair.
       Mina gave Amy a worried look. "We shouldn't stay here long," the
blue haired girl warned softly, "The rate of acclimation appears more
rapid than before." Mina blinked. "Remember what happened last time,
Mina?" Mina nodded. "Well, it's happening faster." Mina stifled the
comment she wanted to make.
       "That was really good, Raye!" Serena said while clapping. Moving
to stand beside Raye, she stated, "You're happy now."
       "YEP!" Raye agreed happily, "'Cuz Lita's here." She gave Lita a
large hug. She'd be sure to thank Kami tonight like her grandfather had
taught her.
       "Okay, girls, why don't you go play for a little bit," Chad
suggested. Raye nodded and after taking Serena's and Lita's hand, she
walked off with the others following behind her.


       <Why weren't they surprised?> Reenie wondered yet again as she,
Serena, and Luna walked home; Diana had taken Artemis home. She had
thought that Serena understood. She glanced down at her.
       "That was fun," Serena remarked when she noticed Reenie looking
at her. "Reenie, can we stop, plleeease? I'm tired."
       "We're almost home, Serena," Reenie told her little sister,
"It's a long way to Raye's place, huh?" Serena nodded. <I'm glad Raye
was really happy but how'd Lita come back? Maybe Darien will know.>
       When they got home, Serena flopped down onto the floor with a
long sigh. "See, it wasn't that far," Reenie said while rolling her
eyes, "Come on, Serena, take off your shoes." The little girl's response
was to hold a foot up to Reenie. "Oh, you want me to take them off?"
       "Yep," Serena chirped.
       "And why should I?" Reenie asked.
       "'Cause I'm a princess," Serena responded, "Daddy says so."
       <Oh brother...> "Well, I'm a princess too," Reenie countered
while ignoring Serena's still uplifted foot.
       "Nuhuh."
       "What do you mean `nuhuh´?"
       "You're too old!" Serena argued with a grin.
       "Hey!" Reenie said sharply.
       "Well, you two might be princesses but I'm queen here," Ellen
interrupted, "Now take off your shoes, Serena, so you and Reenie can
come help me with dinner."
       "Okay..." both children replied. It seemed there was always
something getting in the way of them having fun.


       <This is good,> Lita thought as she slipped another portion of
her supper into her mouth and chewed. <It's kinda nice having somebody
cook for me for once.> Certainly, a meal prepared for her with this much
love hadn't occurred since the last time she was here and before that,
by her own mother. That had been what she missed the most. The Lita here
was very lucky to have a real family.
       She gave her sister a smile. Amy, who was making a fairly good
imitation of Serena eating, paused long enough to smile back. <You'd
think Amy had never tasted her mom's cooking before.> Something tickled
at the back of Lita's mind. <I know my Amy doesn't usually cook when her
mom works...> Lita dismissed that thought. Shaking her head, she then
turned her mind to another thought.
       Although Raye's behavior had been a surprise, it had been a
pleasant one. <The other girls haven't changed much, but I think there
are differences.> She just couldn't put her finger on them. <That Scout
meeting was sure different.> Having Reenie lead it was one change but
the biggest surprise had to be Diana. <I never knew Diana could sound
like my Luna.>
       "Lita?"
       Lita gave a little start before looking towards her mother. "Yes
Mommy?"
       "Are you feeling okay, sweetheart?" Mrs. Anderson asked. Amy
paused in her eating and was now looking critically at her.
       "Yeah," Lita answered and then hopping off her chair, walked
over and gave her mother a hug. She smiled as Mrs. Anderson hugged her
back. "Mommy, may I be excused? I'm done."
       "Sis, don't you want any dessert?" Amy questioned. She was
looking at Lita as if her sister had grown another head.
       "Mommy said I couldn't have dessert," Lita replied.
       Mrs. Anderson gave her daughter a sheepish grin. She had
forgotten she had told Lita that. She carefully pulled some stray hairs
out of Lita's face. "All right, Lita, but put your plate by the sink
first."
       "'Kay," Lita chirped. Turning, she noticed that Amy had a scowl
on her brow. "Wha?"
       "Nothin'..." Amy responded but Lita could tell she was puzzling
something out.


       "But I don't wanna go to bed!" Serena wailed at the top of her
lungs, "Reenie promised to sleep in my room!" She stomped her foot onto
the living room floor to emphasize her point.
       "I know she promised, sweetheart," her father said soothingly,
"But I can't make her."
       <Jeez, tone it down, Serena,> Serena told herself but she did
feel rather betrayed. "Why not? She fibbed to me."
       "No, she didn't, Serena. She just didn't know Melissa was going
to call." He hadn't known what Reenie had said to Serena so had agreed
to let Reenie sleep over at Melissa's. Consequently, he was in trouble
with both his daughter and his wife, not the most enviable of positions.
"Come on, Serena, let's go upstairs and get your PJs on."
       "NOOOOO!" Serena wailed and for added effect, plunked herself
down onto the floor. <Oh brother, this is ridiculous,> Serena thought,
<Freaking out because Reenie conned me is one thing but...> Even before
Ken could react, Serena picked herself up off the floor and tried to get
herself under control. Sniffling, she held her arms up and was happy to
have her father lift her up. <It's been awhile since I could do this.>
She hugged her father tightly and sniffled a little bit. "I was being
silly, huh Daddy?"
       Ken smiled before giving his daughter a kiss. "Do you want me to
read you a story?"
       "Yeah," Serena replied. She laid her head on her father's
shoulder and wondered how her counterpart would react to Reenie's
deception.
       After the story was read and the lights were out, Serena lay
still, wide-awake. She could never fall asleep quickly, but once asleep,
she stayed asleep. "Luna?"
       "What?" Luna asked softly.
       Serena watched as two glowing eyes set against the small black
form of her friend padded its way up towards her head. "You should be
asleep."
       "You don't seem to like it here, Luna."
       "I came here," Luna began, "To keep you out of trouble." <To
think, I thought I'd have some fun here at the same time.> Hopping up
onto Serena's chest, Luna settled herself and asked, "Were you just
acting before?"
       "A little," Serena admitted, "But I can't believe Reenie conned
me like that. First she gets me all excited about her sleeping in my
room just so I'd clean it and then, she dumps me for Melissa."
       "Haven't you done the same thing to Reenie?"
       "No way!" Serena hissed sharply and then paused. She looked
towards the door for a moment before saying in a softer voice, "I like
to hang around with Raye and the others sometimes without Reenie but I
don't lie to her to do it." Starting to scratch Luna behind one ear, she
changed the subject, "Raye's sure different."
       "I actually like it," Luna confessed. "You and Raye got along
quite well during the Sailor Scout meeting today. We didn't get very
much accomplished though. I just wish this Diana wasn't so bossy."
       Serena giggled. <You're just as bossy.> She kept that thought to
herself though. "What about Artemis?"
       Luna was about to answer but the bedroom door opened. Ken
entered and walked over to the bed. "Serena, it's time to go to sleep."
Bending down, he scooped the kitten up before giving his daughter a kiss
on the forehead. "Goodnight."
       "'Night Daddy."
       Standing, Ken walked from the room and pulled the door closed.
"Well, Luna, what do you say to some cream?" Luna mewed. She liked that
idea.


       Yawning, Raye padded out of her bedroom and headed for the
bathroom. Blinking at the brightness of the bathroom light, she groggily
set about her morning routine. After using the toilet and washing her
hands, she padded out of the bathroom and down the hallway towards the
kitchen.
       Her tummy gurgled at the anticipation of food. Unfortunately,
the kitchen was dark. As she walked further in, she could see the
gibbous moon peeking through the tops of the trees in the early dawn
sky.
       <Chad's still sleeping,> Raye thought. She'd just have to get
breakfast herself. She was a big girl after all. Pulling a chair over to
the counter, she clambered up onto it. Setting her favorite doll against
the refrigerator to encourage her, she hopped up onto the counter and
opened one of the cupboards. <That's dishes.> Shutting the one door, she
slid down the counter to another door and looked inside. <Nope. Where'd
they hide the cereal? But I need one of these.> She was extra hungry so
she took the largest bowl she could find, which happened to be a large
wooden salad bowl.
       Putting it to one side, the child continued hunting for the box
of cereal. By the time she found it, Raye's tummy was grumbling at the
lack of food. <I sound like Serena,> Raye thought with a giggle. Her
blonde friend always seemed hungry. <I get to see Lita today!> That's
why she had gotten up early. That's why she had gone to bed earlier than
Chad had really wanted her to, so that Sunday would hurry up and get
here so she could see Lita.
       She was certainly proud of Lita. She was even prouder of Serena.
Her friend had started singing while they were playing. Although Serena
wasn't as good as Lita was, in her opinion, Raye was still proud because
she had taught Serena that particular song. Her tummy reiterated its
complaint about the lack of food. "Okay, okay!" she told her tummy and
rubbed it.
       She spent the next several minutes bringing the procured items
from the counter to the table. Then came the hard part, getting the
milk. After that task had been accomplished, Raye sat on her chair.
       <Hey, I can't reach it,> Raye thought as she realized that with
the bowl being extra large, she wouldn't be able to even see into it.
Grinning slightly, she hopped up onto the table and sat cross-legged.
"Shhh..." she told her doll, "Don't tell Grandpa or Chad." Covering her
mouth, she giggled a little.
       Now one thing little Raye Hino hated was soggy cereal. She'd eat
it but she didn't like it. <How does it go? Yeah... Put the milk first,>
she told herself. With as much care as she could manage, she poured the
milk into the bowl. <Now I'm REALLY hungry...> Her tummy sounded like a
monster. Opening the cereal box, Raye proceeded to dump its entire
contents into the bowl. And for the crowning touch, she added sugar,
lots of sugar. Picking up the large wooden spoon she had found in the
bowl, the little girl began to eat.


       "Mom, where are we going?" Amy asked as her mother stuffed some
things into a gym bag. Mrs. Anderson paused in her activities and turned
to regard her daughter.
       "Pardon Amy?"
       "I said where are we going?"
       <Amy sure can talk good,> Lita thought. She was sitting on the
bed beside Amy. <But she's quieter than my Amy. I bet she's trying to
figure out what went wrong.> She also wondered how her Serena was doing.
<She was fighting with Reenie. I feel a little guilty in being the only
one to come back.>
       "Your swimming lesson is today, Amy. Now where did you put your
swimsuit?"
       Amy slid from the bed and dug through her things to where she
had seen her swimsuit earlier. "Can Lita come swimming with me too?" She
had asked that because she hadn't seen her mother put Lita's swimsuit
into the bag.
       "You know Lita goes ice skating with Raye."
       "Oh, I forgot," Amy lied and went to sit beside her sister
again.
       <Heh!> Lita thought, <That's a typical little kid response.> She
had heard that a lot while volunteering at the local youth center. <Ice
skating with Raye? I wouldn't think Mars would like ice.> Then again,
Raye hadn't been that bad an ice skater when they fought those Cardians
last year. At least, it wasn't Serena. She liked Serena but it had
always been painful watching the klutzy blonde attempt to skate. It
still amazed her that Serena was the reincarnation of one of the most
graceful ice skaters of the Silver Millennium.


       The Tokyo Aquatics and Sports Center was a huge complex!
Sporting both a pool on one side and an ice rink on the other side made
for a strange combination. Both little girls gaped at the sheer enormity
of the structure. Lita tightened her grip on her mother's hand. The last
thing she wanted to do was get lost. When they entered the main lobby of
the facility, they were nearly bowled over by Raye who first gave Amy
and then Lita a hug.
       "HI-EE!!!!" Raye sang out.
       "Hello Raye," Mrs. Anderson greeted the child. "Hello Chad." She
gave a sympathetic smile to Chad who was looking pained. "Okay, Lita,
you go with Chad and Raye and I will come watch you in a little bit,
okay?"
       "'Kay Mommy," Lita replied. Even before she could take Chad's
hand, Raye grabbed hers and was pulling her away from her mother.
       "Come on, Lita. I was waitin' forever!" Raye declared.
       "Raye, wait up!" Chad called after his charge.
       Mrs. Anderson chuckled and turned to lead Amy to the change
rooms for the pool.
       After getting changed, Amy walked to where her swimming class
was assembling while her mother went to sit in the observation area
above the pool with some of the other parents. The class consisted of
ten little girls around Amy's age.
       <It's so big,> Amy mused. It was an Olympic sized pool but at
her current size, it seemed almost endless. Her junior high school's
pool couldn't compare. <I don't think I could even swim its length.> She
wouldn't want to. In her small body, she'd never be able to touch
bottom. <The worst thing is I don't recognize anybody.>
       "Hi Amy!" greeted a girl with shoulder length brown hair. She
was about the same height as Amy was and had green eyes. She skipped
over to Amy. "I thought you were never gonna come."
       "Hi," Amy answered uncertainly. <I should have done more
research!> But there hadn't been any opportunity, not with Lita and her
mother around to question it. As it turned out, the girl's name was
Kimmy and she was Amy's swimming buddy.


       Raye watched with some awe as Lita gracefully skated during
warm-up. She had always been impressed with Lita's skating abilities but
she seemed to have gotten much better since their last skating lesson
the week before. She was so intent on watching her friend that Raye
missed the completely baffled look on their instructor's face.
       "That's remarkable!" the instructor marveled.
       "Yeah!" Raye agreed before skating over to her friend. She
blinked in surprise and then giggled as Lita came to a sudden halt. The
six year old stood for a long moment. Then suddenly, she flailed her
arms before sitting heavily on the ice.
       "Lita, what happened?" Raye asked as she came to a shaky stop
beside her friend. <Lita was really good!> So to have Lita fall like she
did occasionally was a little disconcerting. When Lita didn't answer,
she asked, "You okay?"
       "Um... yeah," Lita answered.
       "Teach me," Raye demanded, "To do that thing." When Lita gave
her friend a blank look, Raye added, "You know, what you did."
       "A single toe loop?"
       "Toe loop?" Raye asked puzzled. Lita was about to explain when
the instructor came over.
       "That was very good, Lita." <She has a lot of potential.> That
element was advanced for such a novice skater. She lifted the little
girl up before saying, "Why don't you show me that move again." <I
should move her up to the advanced class.> Lita gave her blank look.
       "SHOW ME! SHOW ME! SHOW ME!" Raye demanded. She wanted to be
able to skate like Lita. "I showed you how to sing." <What's wrong with
Lita?> Raye wondered, her friend looked panic stricken. "Lita?"
       She was completely surprised when Lita grinned, tapped her
gently on the nose, and cried, "YOU'RE IT!" before racing off down the
ice. Raye was not about to be out tagged so she took off down the ice in
chase. This was quite fun.
       By the time that Mrs. Anderson came to watch Lita, the girls'
skating instructor had resumed their normal lesson, although she was
still annoyed. No matter how hard she tried, Lita refused to show her
the spins or loops she had been performing earlier. Even Chad's coaxing
hadn't worked which seemed to frustrate the instructor. In fact, the
child seemed to revert to the skill level she had been the week before.


       <I wish you could pause TV shows,> Serena thought as she sat on
the couch. While the program she was watching was entertaining, she was
also dying of curiosity. Reenie had just come home from Melissa's. Ken,
not even giving her time to get her shoes off, had called Reenie into
the den. That in itself had sparked Serena's interest. <Daddy never
punishes Reenie.> That was exclusively her mother's domain. The fact
that Ellen had followed Reenie into the den and the door had been closed
was what had really piqued Serena's curiosity.
       Now as Serena sat on the couch, she wondered what was going on.
It had been very quiet except for the sound of the television program.
Even her older brother Sammy was treading lightly. He hadn't teased her
once which meant neither parent was in a good mood.
       The mystery only intensified when Reenie came out looking very
annoyed. She passed by Serena without word or comment. <I wonder what
she's sulking about... If she's even sulking.> Apparently her big sister
was sulking because Serena heard the stomping of feet going up the
stairs.
       When her mother came into the living room Serena, asked, "Mommy,
is Reenie in trouble?"
       "Now, Serena," her mother began, "That's between Reenie and your
daddy and I." When Serena gave her an annoyed look, Ellen inquired,
"Want to help me make cookies?"
       "Sure!" Serena chirped while slipping from the couch. <Oh well,
I'll find out sooner or later.>


       Reenie slipped into Serena's room around two that afternoon. She
stood by the closed door and looked towards her little napping mother.
<She must be really mad at me.> She was feeling guilty for taking off on
Serena last night. <Mommy said she was so proud of me, but I miss her so
much.> She hadn't wanted to come back to the past but being told that
Serena needed her had been enough of a reason for her. And this time,
she could be a Sailor Scout too and really help her little sister. <I
have to keep you safe. I can't let nothing happen to you.> Unlike Lita,
there were no assurances that Serena would come back the same as Lita
had.
       Moving over to the bed, she shook the little girl. "Serena," she
said gently. Serena mumbled something out but didn't stir from her
peaceful slumber. "Serena, it's time to get up."
       The little girl's eyelids fluttered open, revealing deep pools
of blue. "Hi Reenie." Serena pushed herself up and stated, "I'm mad at
you!"
       "I know, Serena," Reenie replied while blushing, "Want me to
take you to the park?"
       "I guess..." Serena said indifferently. She wished she could
tell Reenie who she was so that she could properly scold her daughter.
       "You get up and I'll go ask Aunt Ellen if it's okay."
       It took a little convincing but Reenie managed to get her aunt's
permission to take Serena to the park. As they walked holding hands,
Reenie mulled over what she was going to tell the little girl. <It's
hard having her around all the time.> She loved Serena with all of her
heart but sometimes having a first grader hanging around her was bad for
her reputation. <I wish Serena could understand.> She knew Serena
wouldn't though. She had tried explaining it to her little sister a
couple of times before but without success.
       "Lita 'n' Amy are here... 'n' Raye too!" Serena cheered as they
came into view of the playground. Excitedly, she pulled free of Reenie's
hand and ran over to her friends. Reenie was not pleased to see the
others there. She had wanted to spend some time alone with Serena to try
and patch things up.
       "Well, if it ain't the big baby," a voice behind Reenie taunted.
       Reenie bristled. Turning, she saw a fourth grader standing
behind her, a sneer upon the taller girl's face.
       "What do you want?" Reenie demanded.
       "Aw, do you need your diaper changed?" Reenie clenched her fists
and tried to glare menacingly at the bully. "Oh, are ya gonna throw a
temper tantrum?"
       <Oh Serena!> Reenie lamented, <You're the reason I'm here and in
trouble with Aunt Ellen.> Being in trouble with her aunt was the only
thing keeping Reenie from tackling the little snot before her. <What am
I going to do?> If she was humiliated in front of Serena and her
friends, she'd never hold any of the girl's respect but if she fought...
       "HEY!" came a familiar voice, "You leave Reenie alone!" The
bully turned to reveal little Mina standing with her hands on her hips,
blue eyes blazing. "Pick on somebody your own size!"
       Reenie felt her face burn with heat as she blushed deeply. <I'm
never gonna hear the end of this.>
       "You need a little runt to protect you?" That appeared to be the
wrong thing to say because Mina walked up and kicked the bully square in
the shin. Mina might have been hurt had it not been for the other girls
who had quickly moved to protect their blonde friend. Growling, the
older girl limped away leaving the five six year olds grinning at each
other and the eight year old suffering from acute embarrassment.
       "Hiya Mina!" Serena greeted delightedly, "Where's Carrie?" Mina
shrugged. There hadn't been any answer at Carrie's home.
       "Amy said to come 'n' play," Mina explained, "So whatcha wanna
do?"
       "Bunnies!"
       "No," Raye snapped.
       "Why not?" Serena demanded. She liked pretending to be a bunny
rabbit.
       "'Cuz... you're IT!" Raye said delightedly and tagged Serena.
       "NO FAIR!" Serena squawked as her friends scattered. Turning,
she saw there was only one person she could possibly catch. "YOU'RE IT!"
she called out and tagged the pink haired girl before running away.
       <Oh brother,> Reenie sighed, then shrugged and smiled as she
took off after the others. Sometimes little kids could be fun.


       It was the scream that halted the game. The Scouts looked at
each other in concern. "Let's change!" Reenie directed. The others
nodded and slipped away, looking for a secluded spot. Once they had
found a more private spot to transform, the girls made a circle and
called out their transformation phrases.
       "MARS STAR POWER!"
       "JUPITER STAR POWER!"
       "VENUS STAR POWER!"
       "MERCURY STAR POWER!"
       "MOON CRISIS MAKE-UP!" Serena and Reenie cried together.
       Once the magical light had faded, Sailor Moon once again was
astonished to find herself in Chibi-Moon's uniform. Quickly, the
Chibi-Scouts moved to where the screams originated.
       "WHAT?!?" everyone except Sailor Chibi-Moon and Sailor Mars
demanded when they saw something very strange. Instead of the handsome,
tall, and muscular adult TigersEye, they saw what appeared to be a nine
year old boy. He still sported long flowing blonde hair and the
outlandish costume that TigersEye wore, just smaller.
       "Who are you?" TigersEye demanded. He had seen two of the girls
before but the others were new to him.
       "Hey, it's that little snot!" Sailor Chibi-Moon remarked. Sure
enough, there manacled to a board was the bully that had picked on her
earlier. She wouldn't mind leaving this victim to TigersEye. "I don't
wanna save HER!"
       Sailor Moon gave Chibi-Moon a dangerous look before launching
into her speech, "Little boys should..."
       "HEY!" Chibi-Moon squawked, "I do the speeches!"
       "Then hurry up so we can toast him!" Sailor Moon demanded. Mars
nodded in agreement.
       "You shouldn't be a bully and tease people!" <This is the hard
part.> Fortunately, her mommy had taught her what to say. "I AM SAILOR
CHIBI-MOON, THE CHAMPION OF LOVE AND JUSTICE! IN THE NAME OF THE MOON, I
WILL RIGHT WRONGS AND TRIUMPH OVER EVIL AND THAT MEANS YOU!" She
purposefully pointed towards the bully who had tormented her.
       "Him, not her!" Sailor Venus shouted. She couldn't believe that
Chibi-Moon was more intent on getting even with the now defenseless
bully than defeating TigersEye.
       "I have a doll you'll probably like," TigersEye said with a
grin, "Dolly! Come out and meet these girls." His shadow extended and
after a moment, a doll appeared.
       "Oh... Pretty dollie," Sailor Mars cooed and clapped her hands.
The doll had large greenish eyes. Its hair was jet-black and its lips
were painted bright red.
       "Liko-liko-liko," the doll chanted as its head spun around. It
then grinned at the girls.
       "I don't have one that big," Sailor Mars decided and then
frowned, "But somethin''s missin'." The torso was floating high enough
in the air to allow them a perfect view of TigersEye's head.
       "It's like Dreamland..." Sailor Moon said softly.
       "Dolly, occupy them!"
       "Liko-liko-liko!" Dolly replied and sprang to the attack. The
girls scattered but that was no protection as the doll's body split into
separate parts and went after all the Scouts. In the meantime, TigersEye
turned to his latest victim -- the bully that had teased Reenie.
       A leg tripped Sailor Moon and she was sat upon by the doll's
hips. Venus and Mars screamed as legs came chasing after them. Sailor
Jupiter jumped in front of Mercury as the torso came careening towards
them.
       "Chibi-Moon!" Sailor Moon shouted as she noticed the pair of
hands lift Chibi-Moon into the air. She watched in even more horror as
the head rose up and a large blade popped out of the doll's mouth.
       "Help me!" Mars cried.
       "Hang on!" Jupiter shouted and whirling around, launched her
attack, "JUPITER THUNDERCRASH ZAP!" The backlash caused her to land on
her bottom.
       Bracing herself, Mercury called out, "SHINE AQUA ILLUSION!"
stopping the other leg that was attacking Venus.
       "Help Chibi-Moon!" Sailor Moon yelled as she watched her
daughter zigzagging from side to side, trying to avoid getting skewered
by the blade that shot out from the Lemure's mouth. She then let out a
scream as a claw emerged from the hips, its sharp nails gleaming in the
sunlight.
       "Pegasus is not here..." TigersEye observed, "Dolly, get rid of
them all!"
       "Liko-liko-liko!" Dolly replied.
       "MARS CELESTIAL FIRE SURROUND!" Mars shouted and launched her
attack at the Lemure's head while Venus used her "love chain" to trap
the claw threatening Sailor Moon.
       Dolly's head dodged out of the way of Mars' attack. It was about
to focus its anger on the little fire Scout when a streaking flash of
red hit it. Suddenly the body parts stopped their separate attacks and
retreated.
       "TUXEDO MASK!" Chibi-Moon and Sailor Moon yelled together.
       "Dolls are meant to be cuddled, not feared! For corrupting their
benign purpose, I will punish you!" Tuxedo Mask intoned as he stood atop
a nearby lamppost.
       <Oh please!> Sailor Moon thought, <That speech is so... How does
Darien know what a doll's for?!?> She giggled as an image of Darien
holding one of her dolls flitted through her mind.
       "Finish them!" TigersEye yelled and once the circle of flame
appeared, he slipped away, back to where he had came from.
       "Liko-liko-liko..." Dolly chattered.
       "Sailor Moon!" Chibi-Moon and Tuxedo Mask shouted, "Do it now!"
       "Huh?" Sailor Moon questioned.
       "Call Pegasus!"
       "Oh yeah, um, right..." Sailor Moon said hesitantly and then
muttered, "I hope I do this right." Kneeling and clasping her hands, she
prayed to the Pegasus, "Please Pegasus... protect everyone's dreams!"
Getting up, she started to ring the Charion Bell while calling out,
"Twinkle yell!"
       They looked on in awe as Pegasus appeared before them. He
granted his power to Chibi-Moon and Sailor Moon couldn't help but feel
pride when she heard her daughter call out, "MOON GORGEOUS MEDITATION!"
blasting the Lemure back into its shadowy realm.
       "That was a very naughty dollie," Mars concluded. Then she
crossed her arms while scowling. "Why'd that dollie havta be mean?" It
had been very nice looking before it had started to attack.
       "You did it! You did it! You did it!" Sailor Moon crowed
happily.
       "Well done, girls," Tuxedo Mask congratulated. He looked over to
where the victim had been bound. She already was on her feet and
beginning to flee the scene. "Now we should get out of here as well."
       Chibi-Moon nodded in agreement but gave Sailor Moon a thoughtful
look. Could it possibly be that her wish had come true? Did she even
dare hope for such a thing? It would have to wait until later that night
when she and Serena were alone.
