This just hit me. Don't ask where it came from, it just did.
Ranma � - The oldest spring.
Ranma stared in shock as a panda connected with his stomach. "What the
hell" rang briefly through his head, as the blow knocked him across the
spring. He had just enough time to see the Jusenkyo Guide gasp, then
his head hit the water, and he lost conciousness.
Genma, now a panda, growled at the guide.
"Sir. I think it best now you run away." The guide said, backing away

Genma jumped from the bamboo shoot he was perched on, and landed in
front of the guide. He growled again.
"Sir. We must run. Get hot water, quickly. Sir? Sir? You listen
me?"

At that, the panda began running from Jusenkyo as quickly as he could.
Hastily, he scrawled on a sign, and held it out to the Guide. "What
the hell?"
"Sir. Is very tragic story. 65 million year ago, -" The Guide was
cut off as a large greenish head reached down, and bit him in half.
Why green? Whoo a big green lizard monster. Yeesh! What a
stereotype. How about brown, or black, or bluish, or a mixture of
colors? As soon as I read 'greenish' I immediately flashed on those
stupid iguanas that were used in cheap b-flicks in the fifties and
sixties. Yuck!

Now, the sad part is I'm actually contemplating continuing this ...
although I'd like to know if the idea has ever been done before.
Hey, if you do continue this, make him a Velociraptor instead of a
T-Rex. Binocular vision, quicker, more flexible, capable of jumping.
If you model it after the 'Jurassic Park' formula then it can
actually use it's 'hands' (claws?) to do things with.
Can you picture a 'Raptor doing a Mouko Takabisha?
Now Akane, she's a T-Rex. With that tail she wouldn't need a mallet.
