PRIVATE REPLIES PLEASE I'm looking for the best way for a Japanese child to refer to a father who is not his/her natural father and assuming the natural father is still alive and in the child's life. I've found this much out already: Ifo is Japanese for 'different father' and 'Jifu' is for 'affectionate father'. Does anyone know how these are best used? Any info is appreciated.
