am sticking my head above the ramparts in an experimental
sort of fashion - mainly because i'm feeling sort of cranky
and c&c has been restricted to eva fics.

This fic has obviously been written with loving care -
hardly any spelling/grammaritical errors as far as one
could see in the course of skimming, text is wrapped,
no weird special text characters. The product of someone
who has put in considerable time and effort. However, the
ACC Goku Takagi - a 14 yr old wunderkid chief enigneer -
didn't quite do it for me and impacted considerably on my
(non)enjoyment of the story. Sorry.
Asuka's Project

Part 1
Lots of evaheads immediately perk up at the mention of
Asuka in a fic. Especially when she's the focus of the fic.
My personal bias causes my initial reaction to tend towards
the sceptically raised eyebrow.
I assume the title of 'Asuka's Project' implies that Asuka
is out to re-order the universe so that it revolves around
her (once more) and somewhere along the way, something will
happen that she didn't quite anticipate but there really
isn't enough material to tell. Will have to reserve judgement
until there's more to go on.

Rei on a train with a mysterious gaijin girl. Haven't read
Contemplations I yet so my impression is probably unfair -
found myself thinking, 'This is a lot like those train scenes
in the NGE anime that one fast forwards when you get to that
part of the tape.' I dunno. Echoes of Aoi Tamaiishi's pestering
of Rei in EVA:R (which was fun)? Don't get me wrong, this is
well written but I couldn't really relate to the material -
even if i am a Reihead.
