Princess Snake sat down at the bureau in her her room and stared at the
mirror in front of her. She rested her head on her hands and sighed deeply.
"Damn I hate this place," she said to herself, beginning the ramble that
is the majority of this fic.
"There's nothing to do her. No one ever visits. Enma Daio could stop by to
say hello once in a while. Ever since that street sweeper's brother fell off
of Snake Way, there's no one to keep me company except these damn servants of
mine. Granted they do know how to keep a girl occupied at times, but for
kami's sake, I need a man!"
The princess folded her arms and laid her head down, sobbing lightly in
her self-pity. "I need a drink!" she said suddenly. "Lola! Get in here!"
One of her lovely servants entered the room. "Yes, Princess Snake?"
Lola was definitely one of the more beautiful ladies at the mansion. She
had shiny brown her tied back into a ponytail. The young girl was also well
endowed and had a figure second only to that of Princess Snake, who wouldn't
have noticed anyway because she never bothered to look up. "I'm depressed,"
she told the girl.
"Would you like me to cheer you up?" Lola asked in return, raising her
gloved hands to the buttons of her dress.
"No. Just bring me two bottles of saki and a glass," she ordered her arms.
Lola looked dejected but answered, "Right away, Princess Snake." The young
girl left the room.
Somewhere in the mansion, a loud cries and prayers ensued. "Shut up! Don't
you people have other pastimes?" the depressed princess shouted. She thought
she heard a muffled apology but paid it no mind.
"I could have had all male servants but no, I chose women instead. What
the hell was I thinking? And why did they all have to be lesbians?"
Lola reentered the room with two bottles of saki and a glass on a tray.
She set the items down on the bureau next to Princess Snake, who now stared
listlessly into the mirror. She moved behind her mistress and started to kiss
her neck. "Is there anything else I can do for you?"
"No, you can go now," she answered. Lola stared at the princess for a
moment, opened her mouth to speak, but thought better of it. The last time
Princess Snake got this depressed, her ranting caused one girl to hang
herself. The thought hastened Lola's exit from the room hurried from the room.
Princess Snake poured some saki into the glass. As she raised it to her
lips, her eyes wandered down to the corner of the mirror where a picture of
her brother, Bojack, stared back from its niche. "This one's for you." She
downed the glass in one gulp and poured another.
Princess Snake never really cared much for her brother. His friend Gokua,
however, was another story. The two had been lovers (Gokua's nickname was O
God) before Bojack convinced him, Bidou, Puujin, and Sangya to come with him.
She pulled the picture out and read the writing on the back.
'Conquering the universe but we're having trouble with the Kaious. Be back
in time for dinner. Love ya, sis!' -Bokjack
That message was several hundred years old.
Memories started to flood back into the tortured mind of the princess.
"Damn you, Bojack! You're the one who ordered all of these female servants
for your own personal pleasure! Wait until you get back, you sick, selfish
bastard! I'll make you pay for this!"
Reality hit her. Gokua, Bojack, and the others were never coming back.
Princess Snake shattered the mirror with the other bottle. She then finished
the first and scribbled a good bye message on a piece of paper. With
trembling hands and crying eyes, she opened one of the drawers and removed
the revolver, placing it to her head.
She paused for a moment. If she was already in the Realm of the Dead,
where would she go now? She figured she'd sort it all out when she got
wherever she was going. She pulled back on the hammer and bit her bottom lip.
A knock on the door temporarily commanded her attention. "What is it?" she
said indignantly.
"There's a handsome man coming this way," a servant girl informed. "Should
we flag him down for you?"
Finally some action! "Of course!" With renewed spirit, Princess Snake
began to get ready for the man's arrival. "Maybe my life's not so bad after
all!"
