Thanks to everyone who help me out ^.^ But the guy with this homepage:

the old mail to figure out where he put his name^^;;) Had this one for me:

<< Rather look into the policies of TSR, who own Dragonlance:

Sigh...

But of course things are never that simple. And unfortunately only a
_little_ more work came up with a more likely applicable policy:

http://www.wizards.com/contactinfo/submissions_books.asp

This one rather clearly says "no".

So one should probably ask a person who knows the policy better. I'll
leave the specifics of that as an exercise to the reader (but here's a
hint: actually read the pages above).

THIS:

; Any
; monster, place, or character found in classical literature or general
; mythology is not covered under TSR trademark and, therefore, may be
; used. However, be careful not to copy characteristics that are
; specific to TSR's descriptions.

is a load of crap.

Okay, raise your hand if you've ever read an adapted description of
something [i.e. as mentioned above, a fanfiction of an anime, etc] and taken
that as being the 'real' description.

fanfiction is my only contact with any anime except pokemon, dbz, and
sailormoon. at one point, i'd read something in a ranma fanfiction and think
that that was canon. [an example is the idea that mallets are stored in an
alternate dimension and only akane can access them] T$R would be legally
required to mark in ALL materials which characteristics of such things were
contrived by them if they even want a PRAYER of a chance at enforcing this
particular clause.
