Interesting plot, I like the idea very much, here's a reworked plot
incorporating
some of my ideas, which is all IMHO. Anyway, I look forward to reading your
fic.
Here's the reworked plot I tought of, this is Alt. Univ. DARK...
It all began when...
- 6 yr old Ranma and Genma find themselves at Jusenkyo. Genma wanting to
hasten his son's training, decides to bring him, to the most dangerous
training
ground.
- Ranma cursed to turn into a girl, Genma cursed to turn into (insert your
choice here)
- Dissappointed, 6 yr old Ranma and Genma end up in Hong Kong, with Genma
getting into trouble with the local triad, it seems Genma thought wrongly of
trying to
steal from them. It is your choice if he dies.
- The Triad later discovers Ranma, huddled somewhere and crying, the leader
of the Triad takes pity on Ranma, more so when he see's him transform and
Ranma strikes back at one of his guards that he saw the potential of the
child. Besides, his transformation skill if trained properly would be a
great asset for an assassin.
- Ranma is adopted into the triad.
- Ranma is taught various martial arts from the top masters in Hong Kong,
including the more darker arts and black magic/ Chi manipulation.
- At this stage, another 'shadow' triad is slowly gaining power, Tarou is
recruited by this rising triad.
- Later, during Ranma's training, he is slowly introduced to the mystery
that is known as women, by a semi-experienced young girl, let's call Lian
for now. Suffice it to say, they become close friends.
- Training for the young assassin begins, Lian is there to comfort him
through it all.
- At the age of 15, Ranma is a skilled fighter and magic user/chi user. At
this point, the 'shadow' Triad begins to move in HongKong and other parts of
China, and Japan.
- At this point, there a lot of reports of missing people, mostly young
girls from various parts of China and Hong Kong and Japan. Lian is one of
those missing.
- The Triad Ranma belongs to, sees the threat this shadow Triad brings and
starts covert operations against them.
- It is during one of these operations, that Ranma first encounters Tarou
and Akane (freshly kidnapped be the Triad to sell her as a sex slave to one
of its clients {Kuno perhaps?})
- A fight begins, with Ranma barely escaping with Akane, sadly he finds out
that Lian is dead. He swears vengence.
- Ranma has hardly had time to rest after his escape when he over hears news
from one of the tv sets in one of the shops of a shoot out and a fire. It
turns out that, his Triad 'family' is all dead or left scattered in the wake
of this attack. In one day, Ranma had lost eveything he held dear to him.
- He seeks refuge in one of the family's remote hideouts along with a couple
of survivors. And they begin to talk about vengence. Ranma agrees, it is
decided then that they should lay low for a while and that they should seek
help from one of their yakuza allies in Japan. Tommorrow, they would take a
plane and fly there, for now though, they needed rest.
- That night, Ranma could hardly sleep, he begins to think about the past
and what the future might bring, he is unawares that Akane had quietly
joined him and they begin to converse, with Akane thanking him for rescuing
her. They share the night in silence afterwards.
- At the airport, everyone is tense as Ranma and co. prepare to debark, they
are fired upon and they make a hasty retreat as a firefight breaks out at
the airport. A few men die, but Ranma and Akane safely makes their escape.
- In a remote island, there is a private airstrip where the plane lands,
from there they ride a helicopter to the mainland as they are limosined to
their yakuza allies HQ.
- Ryouga first appearance as one of the yakuza's higher ranked goons. A
small rivalry rises between them with Akane oblivious of the two. A plan is
made and Ranma and co. rests up in one of the yakuza's private hotel rooms.
Ranma and Akane have some small talk and they rest up for the night.
- Next day, Akane is brought home, Ranma meets her family. (At this point if
you chose not to kill Genma, he pops up here as one of the Tendo's guests,
it would not be a pretty sight.)

Some of the ideas I was toying around with while writing revised plot:
Lian = Ukyou, if not Ukyou as a run away sex slave. Later picked up by
Ranma.
Shampoo, Tarou's love slave who is all too greatful to be rescued by Ranma.
(Yes she gets captured to be sold into slavery)
Mousse, trained by Colonge to bring Joketsuzoku vengence on this 'shadow'
Triad as an Assassin
Happosai, shadow Triad's ring leader.
Kasumi getting kidnapped.
Nabiki getting kidnapped.
Tofu as a psycho doctor...
Human experiments by the Shadow Triad = Kima/Herb
A lot of etchi stuff ^_^
