*shrug* Well.. Seeing how it's highly unlikely that TSR would be scouring online for people that are using their worlds and characters for their own personal use, I doubt that there's going to be that big of a problem.
I think the main concern regarding American (and Japanese) companies is people who write stories and plan on publishing them for profit. We run into the same sort of issue when selecting music for our marching bands and drum corps for our competition seasons. Since we are non-profit organizations (and I think fans are high on the list of "non-profit") I don't see this being such a big deal. I mean, it's highly unlikely Aaron Copland would raise a stink about someone performing Appalacian Springs (ok, he actually did.. but it was more that he objected to the treatment of his piece, and he didn't try to sue or anything), or that Rumiko Takahashi would be upset that there's fanfiction by the hundreds of thousands about her Ranma 1/2 world.
That being said, I do plan on writing something or other.. eventually ^.^;; I truly doubt that fanfiction within the TSR genre is an original concept, but if I do get a letter from them telling me that I suck and I need to take it down, I'll let y'all know ;)
