It would've worked for me if it wasn't Ranma and Ryoga. Original characters
similar to them would have been better, IMO. I just can't imagine those two
romantically and/or sexually involved with each other.

Come now, didnt you read the subject headers? I gave you everything
I promised!

You certainly did.

Heh-heh, just kidding. I actually wrote this on a whim. Usually, when
I see slash or yaoi fanfics on the FFML, I just delete them. Then again,
I frequently do the same for lesbian fics. Its not that I am bias against

Yeah. I'm aiming for good yuri (f/f) fiction. PWP can be done well, too.

same. I actually have read a couple good Kurama/Hiei yaoi fics, but
that is about it.

They're a good couple for yaoi. Just enough ambiguity to make exploring their
relationship enticing (apparently Togashi encouraged it with his own
doujinshi). Plenty of angst, too.

P.S.2: Has anyone else noticed that yaoi fics tend to be written by girls,
and lesbian fics by guys? Strange, no? Just an observation.

What else do you expect? Straight guys aren't likely to read or write yaoi.
Homosexuality in fiction is more entertaining when it's the opposite sex
you're dealing with. How many straight girls would read or write yuri, even
without citrus? _It hits too close to home_. Ever see how girls act without
any guys around? IMO, writing good yuri is more of a challenge than writing
good yaoi. It's a lot more ambiguous and not as easily angst-filled.
