I don't own Battle Angel Alita. I didn't create it. I'm not making money
off this.

So does this mean you're not going to pay me for this C+C? Boy, what a
cheapskate.

I'll C&C VD9 for you. Does that count as payment?

I hit the concrete again. It stung, but that's irrelevant.

Oh? And what about the concrete? How do you think it felt after being hit
so hard? Mememe. Always gotta be about you. Of course, since this is in the
first person narrative, I suppose it is inevitbale. So we'll let it pass
for now.

Thats in the sequel, "A Lard Life: How the Concrete Felt"

 Pain through
neural connections always is. They feel removed, distant. I didn't care
though. If the pain was ignorable, that was one less thing to distract
me during the race.

Nice passage

Thank you.

 came through here
only a few minutes ago, on lap two, Grigg and I took out the entire lead
group. That was glorious.

I think 'It' works better than 'That' for me. I think that's mostly a style
ting though.

I'll look at both a few times a see which sounds better.

his lead, though number 34, Zak, was
lying on the track in seven different places. Looked like his brain was
intact though.

Right until I ran over it. It made a kawaii little squishy sound. It was
great.

So much for Zak

Laced with twists and turns, it was the most dreaded part of the course.
More people crashed here than on the whole rest of the track combined.
I wasn't worried though. I was riding a wave of control that defied any
attempt to make me crash.

At least right up until the moment I crashed.

Always the thing you'd least expect.

I skidded slightly and lost almost twenty mph of speed in a second. I
knew I wasn't as good as him in a straight fight, so I had to rely on my
greater manuverability. But here in the death trap, that should work out
just fine.

Sounds like it would.

Those strategy skills come into play as an author.

line,
motorball raised high. I slowed down and crossed the line cockily.
The audience was stunned that I had taken out Grigg, ranked seventh, in
my first fight. When They bombarded me with questions, I only had one
answer for them.
"I am Jashugan, Number 13. And I will be the King of Motorball."

Oh, so it wasn't Alita? That surprised me. Lots of grammar errors, but a
nice little opening.

Jashugan has such an interesting and unwritten about past. It begs to be
explored. Gally is so much more nailed down and has less room for
writting.
