Hey guys. I have no clue if anyone had used this idea or not so please
bear with me
if you have seen this a million times. Private C&C would be nice so I
can learn
how to make my writing better.

Ryoga was lost but only this time it was in thought. He was trying
to figure out a
way to cure his directional curse. He had tried using maps, compasses,
and even
stellar navigation but all for naught. The only good thing to come out
of his curse
was that he got to travel all over the world. Many the gift he had
bought for his
beloved Akane from his travels. He also didn't mind being able to speak
just about
any major language in the world but it sure was a pain to learn them all
while
traveling. Right now it looked like English was the way to go because
he seemed
to be in London. Yep, there was Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and....the
Eiffel
Tower??? All he did was turn around or did he? Ryoga couldn't remember
and
took it that he wasn't paying attention along the way. Walking along
some path in a
long forgotten mountain range he comes across a boulder blocking the
way. A
simple Bakusai Tenketsu removes that obstacle but Ryoga doesn't move.
He'd
never really thought about what it takes to use the move since he was
taught it by
Cologne. But now it was different. The words "See with the mind and
not with the
eyes" kept going through is head. No matter how hard Ryoga tries he
just can't get
it out of his mind. It almost seemed as if it was telling him something
but not being
very clear about it. It was decided that he was only wasting time
standing there
pondering some stupid phrase and he started along the path again. Still
pondering
those words he didn't stop until he came upon a city somewhere.
Deciding that
asking for directions was a good thing to do, Ryoga asks the first
person he sees
where Japan was. The person was confused and told him it was to the
west across
the Pacific Ocean on the other side of the country. After a quick curse
Ryoga
thanks the kind person and turns to the north. He finally lets his mind
go back to
the incident with the boulder and his thoughts afterward.

"The Bakusai Tenketsu requires for me to see the breaking point of a
rock with
my mind and not with my eyes. All it takes is a little focus and
there's the dot that
allows me to remove the rock." Ryoga said to himself as he set up his
camp in a
forest somewhere. His eyes then lit up. It was so simple that he was
surprised
that he didn't come up with it earlier. Ranma had always revised his
techniques in
order to take care of an opponent so why couldn't he. The concept
behind the
Bakusai Tenketsu was so basic that it could be easily adapted to his
directional
curse. So instead of looking for a breaking point, he wanted to look
for a direction
point. With this in mind he sat down and concentrated.

First he tried the Tendo Dojo but nothing happened. Japan met the
same results.
Not getting discouraged he decided to go for something closer. He heard
what
sounded like a river nearby and focused on that. Eureka! A nice bright
dot
appeared to his left and slightly behind him. He turned towards the dot
and headed
towards it. Despite having to go around or over several obstacles he
never lost
sight of the dot and easily made it to the river. Tears welled up in
his eyes when he
realized that he made it to the river safely and without a problem. He
did notice
that the dot disappeared when he saw the river but he didn't care for
even Ryoga
could find something if he could see it. Ryoga collected the water he
needed and
focused on his camp. He finally realized that the technique worked when
he easily
made it back to the camp. Thrilled with the fact that he had found at
least a partial
cure, he wandered around the area and came back to his camp several
times to get
the ease of using the technique like he has with all of his others.
Finally dropping
from shear weariness he goes to bed content in knowing that wherever he
set out to
go the next day, he would get there.

I hoped you liked it. I came up with this idea while watching the
episode where
Cologne taught Ryoga the Bakusai Tenketsu. I had thought that an
adaptation to the
move wouldn't be too hard for Ryoga to do since he knows the basics. I
had read several stories about how Ryoga finds a cure to his directional
problem but nothing that came close to this answer. Thanx for reading
this. C-ya
