Why wouldn't Kasumi wish for her mother to be brought back to life?
1] Because her mother died of a nasty disease, and curing that would have
recovered a second wish, she rejected the idea.
2] Also, if she was unwilling to do something as subtle as cure Akane's
impatience, how could she justify bringing a dead person, who was well known
and loved by the neighbors as well as her family, back? It would bring FAR
too many questions on that family.
