Setting:Tokyo-3, Misato's Apartment now housed by the Ikari household
Time:2:30 PM Japan Standard Time, Thursday
2031 A.D

"I'm home, Mother! " a young girl took off her shoes and placed them neatly on the entrance to the living room. Her long red hair flowed freely after she took off her hair ribbon and walked softly on the beige carpet. She saw her Dad reading the paper, the Asahi Times. He looked over the paper, his brown eyes reflecting a sense of relief that his daughter was home. His slicked black hair suddenly became ruffled when Teri Ikari stepped up and kissed him on the cheek at the same time rubbing her Dad's hair. He smiled back at her, enjoying the precious moment.
"So, how was your day at school, Teri? " He asked. She looked at him and suddenly fell with a heavy sigh. She sat next to her dad and slowly began her encounter.
"Dad, I may be falling in love with someone from school. I dunno, but this is the first time I had these feelings." Her deep brown eyes penetrated his gaze.
"Who is the lucky stiff? " Her dad asked with a little bit of amusement in his voice.
" He's the most popular guy in school...and he is handsome and sweet. He does a lot of charity work and helps out at the school a lot. " Teri replied happily.
" I see. Well, you should go to talk to him then, start up a conversation. There's no reason not to try, is there? " He smiled at her.
" I guess you are right Dad and thanks for hearing me out. Mom would have a fit if she found out her little girl has fallen in love. " Teri said. She got up and walked towards her room, giving her Dad a big hug and another kiss on the cheek. Shinji hugged her back and looked at his watch when he heard it ring the hour. He got up out of the chair he was relaxed in and grudgingly walked towards the door. He had a lot of stuff to do at NERV and enjoyed any less minutes of it.
He felt since this was his responsibility to look after Unit 01, he usually avoided the small stuff, until he found out yesterday that her 15 year old daughter could synchronize perfectly with Unit 01. <I hope she won't have to go through what I endured>He thought and saw Teri smile at him, waved good-bye made him a little bit uncomfortable with the whole situation.
<There is nothing you can do, Shinji. She has a past, like you, that she'll never like.>He thought. As soon as that thought finished, he got into his car and drove away.
Back at the Ikari Household, Teri was fixing herself a mid-afternoon snack, before going into her room and cram her lovely head for High School Entrance Exams. Getting her plate with her ham and cheese sandwich in one hand and a can of OJ in the other, she went to her room, flopped down on the bed, turned on the radio and began studying.
<Let's see, Math or English to start today?>She thought to herself, her deep oceanic eyes seeing the covers of both books."English it is, and I think I'll do it like Aunt Misato did..."Smiling mischievously at the can of OJ.She grabbbed it with her hand, opened it, took a big gulp and said:
"YYYYYEEEEEEEEEHHHHHAAAAA!!!!!" Her angelic voice became a fun filled scream. Somehow, 2 blocks away, Asuka Langley Ikari, Mother of 2 kids and devoted wife to Shinji Ikari, heard her voice and a big large  sweatdrop formed on top of her head. Asuka was walking towards the store, with her son in tow. Axel looked at her mom and did the same thing.<Some habits never change>She thought.
  After that, she opened the book and started doing the 1st lesson when the phone rang. She ignored it the 3 times before answering on the 4th ring.
 "Moshi-Moshi?" She said, letting the words hang in the air.
 "Ikari-kun?, It's me Hideaki. " The other voice said, the deep voice  penetrating her ears and at once realized who he was. Her heart began to race, getting pumped up like an Indy 500 racecar, waiting for the race to start. She began to blush furiously and litle by little, she had the courage to speak up.
 " Yamato-sempai, how are you doing? I didn't realize you were going to call me, who gave you my phone number?" She said.
 " I think it was Sayeka who gave it to me, she kept on pushing me to call you, I have no idea why, but everytime I tried to ask her why, she ignored my question and like she always does, gave me her big friendly smile. " Hideaki said.
 "Yeah, Sayeka is a total push-over but she can be a real cool person to be with, me and her know each other since we were kids. She is my best friend after all. " Teri said, <I'm going to get you for this Sayeka-chan>She thought and smiled evilly when she saw herself duelling Sayeka about this.
 "Well, that is true, but like you said, she can be a cool person to be with. Changing the subject, what are you doing right now? " Hideaki said on the phone.
 "Me, well I was about to study for the entrance exams, ever sensei told us that Tokyo-3 High was the best school,and that we should go there... but they only accept the top 15% of graduates so I have to make it there, even if it kills me. My mom keeps pushing me to do my best, since she was so intelligent when she was a kid, heck, Dad even told me that she graduated from college at that age. So I guess that's why she wants me to do the same, so I have to try.  " She replied cheerfully when she heard the door open in the living room.
 " I think my Mom is home Yamato, can you hold please? " She asked  him.
 " Sure, Ikari-kun. " She got up and walked towards the living room when she saw her mom standing in the doorway. Teri still couldn't belive that she was like her mother, in her shape, way or form; the only thing is she wasn't as Shinji put it once when he told her stories when they were kids that she was "Bitchy", and by the way that she was looking at her right now, she was definitely Bitchy.
 "Teri-chan, didn't we told you enough times that you are not supposed to do that? Ever since you were little, you did it, and that's why when we became old enough and your Auntie Misato left and left us her apartment, I hoped that it didn't continue. I guess I was wrong. " Asuka let out a deep sigh and picked her bag of groceries, while Axel was tapping his fingers rather violently, scratching her lovely shoulder.
"That's for making Okaasan mad. I hope you're happy now. " He said, and walked off, and Teri stood there, trying to rub her painful shoulder.
"Creep. " She told him," I hope that one of those ugly ass Pokemon come to get you and eat you up in your sleep." She yelled at him.
" I have my lightsaber to protect me, so there! " He shouted from his room.
" Yeah, right, you call your baseball bat a lightsaber." She stormed off when Asuka appeared from behind her and tapped her finger on her shoulder. Asuka looked towards Teri's room, her oceanic eyes pointing at the phone. Teri gave her a nervous smile and closed the door rapidly.
" I hope you start studying and finish gossiping with Sayeka-chan. I want you to enter Tokyo-3 high, you understand? " Asuka let out an exarsperated sigh and turned on the TV.
" I will Mom, as soon as I finish talking with my 'boy'friend on the phone. " She said in her loudest voice, penetrated the door to her room and Asuka heard it very clearly.
Asuka flinched her right eye and started shaking her head sideways. <Where did I go wrong? and wait a minute, 'boy'friend?>She thought to herself and Axel came out of his room, dressed up in a baseball uniform that said "SF Giants" looked at his mom and wondered why did Teri acted like this.
Teri picked up the phone and plopped down on the bed again. She felt her mind wander for a little bit, telling herself why  she told her mom that it was her 'boy' friend on the phone. She tought Asuka was going to come in and tell her a lot of things about boys, but she didn't, so she heard him whistling and that's what brought her back to earth.
"Sorry, my mom just came home.She went Grocery shopping and I helped her put the groceries in. "Teri spoke.
"It's no big deal, I have plenty of time. So, what are your plans for the future? "He asked innoncently.
"Plans? I don't know..."She began to hesistate a little bit, wavering her pencil in her hand, " I guess I'm not that far ahead yet, I'm only 15 and want to enjoy my teenage years, in spite of these stupid exams. "
She heard him chuckle, wondering what was so funny. Hideaki was a year older than her so he was already in High School, but she guessed some people thought that it was better to plan for the future, no matter how early it was.
"Oh don't worry, Ikari-kun, sometimes Life is full of pain but sometimes is full of love. The Future is both ways I guess. I want to  enjoy my teenage years helping people out, having fun and if the right girl comes along, probably take her as my girlfriend. You just never know."
She felt her heart race anew one more when she heard the word "Girlfriend". She fell silent for a moment when  she heard a very quiet voice telling her "ASK HIM OUT!" She turned around and saw her mom standing there, smiling proudly at her daughter. And that's when she felt something in her heart, the fire of courage ignited once more.
"Yamato-sempai, I have something to tell you. I really appreciate this call, it means a lot to me, you know..."She trailed off
"What's the matter,Ikari-kun? "He asked, a little bit of worry infringing on his deep voice.
"I...want to go out with you on a date if you don't mind..." She said, her voice sounded hesistant and unsure. <Please don't say "no">she thought.
"So that was the reason Sayeka-chan gave me your phone number. Clever girl, I must say. Okay, I accept, where do you want to meet?" Hideaki asked, the infringement of worry departing suddenly from his voice.
 "Yeah, she is clever I must say. Hmm....How about 8:00 p.m this saturday at Tokyo-3 Municipal Park. After that we can decide what we can do. " She smiled and chuckled softly.
 "Sure, I have no plans. Meet you there then, I gotta go now 'cause I gotta go to work and I must say, it is a pretty tiring experience. " He sounded reasonably sure and by how he sounded, he didin't like his job very much.
 "Where do you work? "Teri asked.
 "UPS Tokyo-3" He said.
 "Ahh..well, lifting weights is one good way of exercising your body. You must be pretty buff, lifting all that weight until the trucks or the little bobtail trucks carry the packages around." She said, her voice becoming a more endearing, caring tone.
 "Yeah if you say so, but low pay and low hours doesn't add up much, you know. Well, I really oughta get going so I'll see you this saturday. " Hideaki said.
 " Okay, yeah I will. Hehehehe, Ja Ne! My working prince."She teased him.
 "Ja Ne, and I hope you'll wear something nice. " And with that he hung up.
 <You bet I will> She thought and started dancing on the floor, a victory dance and turned on the radio real loud and danced some more. She felt her head spin, seeing the posters of every Anime that she had seen, from Ranma 1/2 to Vision of Escaflowne. Her room was decorated with stuffed plushies, posters, her radio belting out Sharon Apple's "Information High", she danced and twirled on the floor, landing on her bed exhausted, smiling and thinking about a lot of happy thoughts.
  " I will make you mine, someday." She said and at once, she turned  the page and continued studying.

Setting:Tokyo-3, Misato's Apartment now the Ikari Household.
Time:10:30 p.m Japan Standard Time, Thursday.

 Teri didn't know how deep she was in sleep, her face covering the English book she had been studying. She opened her eyes real slowly, the light from her room emitted by a small lamp next to her bed, chrome coated and with a nice crystal design formed in the shape of flower.<How long have I been asleep?>She wondered, and slowly got up from her bed and made her way to the door. She opened it slowly, seeing the living room light on, the TV long turned off. She heard her stomach rumble and she knew at once that she was hungry. For her petite body didn't show any signs of eating a lot of food, but she had been working out at school, ever since she joined the basketball team and swim team. She made herself to the kitchen, took out a frozen pizza, heated up the oven and put the pizza. She looked at it, reading the label, Tombstone Pizza:Hawaiian and she put it in. She walked to the living room, turned on the TV and sat on the couch, waiting for the Pizza to finish cooking.

{end of TV annoucement}

 She smelled the pizza cooking, the warm smell of cheese and sauce penetrating her nostrils, making her mouth water at once. She got up while a music video showed up, opened the oven, and saw that the pizza was done. She took it out, put it on the cutting table and began to slice the pizza with the pizza slicer. She took 2 slices, went back to the living room. Her shorts were wrinkled up and her chibi-Sailor Moon
tank-top was wrinkled as well. As soon as the news began to start, she heard the door bell rang and saw her dad, coming home from a hard day's work. She got up and opened the door, and at once, Shinji was stunned that her daughter wasn't asleep yet.
  "Aren't you supposed to be in bed, Teri-chan?" He asked, his voice sounded tired.
   "I was, but somehow I fell asleep studying for the exams. I guess I was really tired from swimming today." She told him.
   "Oh, well, I don't want you to stay up late, you have school tomorrow. Good night, kiddo."He hugged her and walked towards the master bedroom.
   "Good night, Dad."She noticed that he wasn't his cheerful self today, she knew that something was wrong. She let it pass quickly though when she heard the door bell rang.<I wonder who could be knocking doors at this hour>She wondered, and slowly made her way to the door. As soon as she opened it,she saw that it was Hideaki Yamato who was standing in the door.
   "My, what are you doing here this late?" She asked.
   "Oh, I came to give you this."He held out his hand from his back and a bouquet of roses appeared, from red to purple. The fragrant scent penetrated her nostrils and she began to blush furiously. He was 6'1", broad shouldered, his black hair parted sideways, his deep brown eyes filling up with a warm glowing sense. He was in a white t-shirt covered up in stains, black jeans and a pair of Nike's shoes. She kept her gaze on him a lot longer, seeing the chest muscles ripple and his arms filled with muscle. She beagn to blush furiously at the dirty thoughts that suddenly filled her mind.
     "Oh thank you, I'll put them in the vase as soon as I can."her voice sounded a little bit high, and her heart was going in circles.
     " You seem to be taking it really well, under the circumstances. " He said.
     "Yeah if you can call it that, but this is my first time, but inside I feel like a little girl..."And at once began giggling. <Control yousrself, Teri>and at once she composed herself.
     "Well, I gotta get going so I'll see you this saturday. Good night. "He turned around and walked towards the elevator. She stood there,her lips saying a quiet good-bye & her mind suddenly drfited to the promised land. She closed the door and sat down next to it, clutching the bouquet of roses and her heart opened like a rose blossom, full of love, happiness and wonderment. She couldn't help it, she need it to be released, a joy so big that she need it to let go. She walked towards the fridge, got a can of Coke and opened it. All that happiness that she felt was summoned up in one word.

"YEEEEEHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Of course, Shinji and Asuka heard it in the bedroom and they both formed large sweatdrops.<Misato, you are going to pay for this>They both thought, and in their minds, a very large sword stabbed through an image of Misato. Teri on the other hand, felt relieved, put the can of Coke away and smiled to herself.<Wait 'till I tell Sayeka about this, and she wouldn't belive it.>She got up and finished the rest of her pizza, turned off the TV and went to bed.


Setting:Takashi Junior High, Tokyo-3
Time: 12:00 p.m Japan Standard Time, Friday

Teri walked to the lunch room, her white blouse and blue dress uniform with a red tie, turned many eyes as she glided gracefully across the floor. She heard a very loud " Wait up!", and turned around, seeing her best friend Sayeka and two of her friends running up to her. The one on the right was Moemi and the other one on the left was Kohtori. They finally catched up to her and started to walk together.
 "Any news concerning Yamato-sempai?"Sayeka said, her short brown hair bobbing to the movement of her body. She was a little bit shorter than Teri, just by 5 inches, her small body showing signs that she was finally growing up.
 "Why did you give him my phone number, Sayeka-Chan?"Teri replied in a mock voice.
 "Hmm.I did it cause I wanted to see you happy, and the right time came and I decided to act. I even told him about your crush. " She said, a small smile appeared on her face.
 "Well, I'm glad you did, because I asked him out for a date and he said yes! The date is going to be this saturday."Teri replied cheerfully.
 A big grin appeared across Sayeka's face; she gave her an acknowledgemt wink in her eyes and gave her a big hug. Teri looked at Sayeka, returning the hug and felt very special. They continued to walk towards the lunch room, all 3 girls chatting like birds, gossiping about friends, the future and the entrance exams. As the lunch bell began to rang, signaling the end, Sayeka turned around and went back to her class. Teri told her that she wanted to go shopping, to buy something for the date, and Sayeka told her that she would accompany her. Teri turned around and went back to her classroom.
  During class, she turned on her desktop computer and signaled Sayeka's computer in the other class. Sayeka heard the ping and turned it on. She read the following message that Teri had typed in.

BEGIN MESSAGE FROM: Teri Ikari to Sayeka Arisugawa.
"Meet me at Hirohito Mall at 3:00 P.M. There we could go look at some dresses and shoes. I need to make a very good impression on him and I need to feel like royalty, if you see what I mean. I still can't believe this is true, that I'm going actually on a date with him. I have all these emotions inside and I want them to be released. I guess I'll have my big chance tomorrow. Don't forget, and see you at the mall.

Sayeka turned off the computer and in the distance, saw Hideaki walking with two of his friends. She smiled broadly when she saw herself along his side, grasping hands, smiling and chattering about everything.She knew that it was Teri's first date: in her mind, she knew she had no reason to interfere, because she wanted to see Teri happy.<Maybe some other time>She thought, and looked at the the teacher, concentrating her efforts for the class. Across the hallway, Teri was daydreaming about him, when she heard a ping in her computer. She opened the screen up and she read it:

                       HE'S MINE, LEAVE HIM ALONE.
                       YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE WITH HIM.
                       DON'T KNOW WHAT HE SEES IN YOU.
                                  ANONYMOUS.

Teri was shocked beyond belief and quickly turned off the computer. She was mezmerized at the words that had appeared at the computer. She quickly shrugged it off and paid attention to the class; she couldn't concentrate though, her mind was somewhere else, the thought of losing him began to rear it's ugly head, and at once, she saw the image of something more, the figure of of a black skull, red eyes glowing like red hot embers, freeing themselves from the deep bowels of hell itself. She tried to shrug off the image; she couldn't, it was too strong. She heard it calling, the voice of a very high pitched woman, screaming for help, then the connection was severed. She let out a painful moan, and her head collapsed on the desk.


Setting:NERV HQ-GeoFront, Control Room
Time:2:30 P.M Japan Standard Time, Friday

Maya was silently watching the infrared sensors, despite that she was 40 years old and a major computer scientist. She had worked on the upgrade to the Magi Systems after the last angel was destroyed and normalcy returned. She completed her studies and finally moved up the ranks from Assistant to Doctor and Technician. Her short brown hair was up to her shoulders, and she was a mother of one. She didn't look old despite that she was 40 years old, her looks fooled everyone that she was still in her early to mid 20's, and when she completed her studies at school and apprentship under Dr.Ritsuko Akagi, she had fallen in love with Shigeru Aoba and they both wed after the incident, as everyone called it, with the 17th Angel. She was sipping her coffee when the alarm sounded and the Klaxons began blaring. She got up and started punching keys left and right and the image of Unit One appeared. She saw that it was trying to move and her coffee sliped from her hands and landed on the floor, the porcelain cup breaking and the coffee flowing like a dark waterfall.

 "Damn it, why is Unit 01 moving? "She blared at the bridge bunnies who in the past, She held that post very proudly.
 "Trying to confirm it right now, Ibuki-sempai. The connection has been established mysteriously, and a definite yellow pattern is forming. All neural connection have suddenly turned on by themselves and the synch ratio is climbing fast!" They yelled.
 "Try to terminate the connection if you can, and watch out for negative feedback. I'm getting Commander Katsuragi in here, so keep working on it, understood?" She told them.
 "Yeah" They all replied in unison.
 Maya Ibuki got on the elevator and disappeared from view, taking out her cellphone, she dialed Misato Katsuragi's house. She heard two rings and then a beep and then she heard the Major, err..Commander's voice. Maya couldn't let in sink in after all these years that Misato Katsuragi was promoted after finding out the plans for using the EVA's and Humanity in general by Seele. She had finally done it and she was promoted, along with her, Shigeru and Hyuuga. Ritsuko departed , some say quit NERV and moved back home, not letting the hurt and pain that she had suffered at NERV, she left to enjoy life and its pleasures.
  "Hello?"Misato said, a little bit groggy.
  "Commander, I think there is a crisis with unit 01, somehow it started by itself and the pilot is not present at the moment." Maya said, her voice became a little bit preoccupied.
  "Unit 01? You checked everything?" Misato asked.
  "Yeah, we are trying to figure out what's wrong, but it's better if you come here and take a look for yourself..."She trailed off when she heard a lound clang and saw the pieces of metal falling towards the ground below. Maya became horrifed, her eyes widening when she saw the massive hand of Unit 01 breaking the meter-thick walls that it was  constrained in.
  "Maya, you there? Hello, Maya?" Misato began to shout into the phone. Maya stood transfixed at the sight and put the phone back to her ear.
  "Oh my god, you better come here quick. The Eva is trying to break loose, Misato, just hurry!" Maya shouted, and she became afraid at the sight. Still after all these years, The EVA's terrified her.
   "Okay, hang on, I'll be right there"Misato said with a tone of urgency. They both hanged up and the elevator reached the floor.
  Misato Katsuragi, age 48, and living with Ryoji Kaji, left her home in a hurry, her red Mustang shining in the sunlight. She sped off at the direction of HQ, her monitor seeing the progress of the bridge bunnies, trying to bring Unit 01 back in control. After the incident with the 17th angel, she went to the United Nations in Tokyo-2 to disband NERV and the proposal to destroy the Evangelion units, giving full detail to the Japanese Self-Defense Force and the United Nation's Military Council about the revealing secrets about the EVA's. A massive trial moved from there, indicting Gendo Ikari, Supreme Commander of NERV, Kokzo Fuyutsuki, and Dr.Ritsuko Akagi for crimes against humanity, Treason and for secretely trying to destroy the world. Gendo Ikari was sentnced to life, Kohzo Fuyutsuki was sentenced to lesser charges, but Ritsuko Akagi disappeared, leaving no reason to Misato why she didn't want to face trial. She still wanted to get in touch with her, but everytime that she looked for her, she wound up in a dead end. Shinji was present at the trial, so was Asuka and their kids. Shinji felt relieved that justice was done to this world; at the same time though, he felt sorry for his father, because deep down in Shinji's heart, he loved Gendo. Misato came to the entrance, parked the car inside the train, and she was off to HQ. Minutes later, she walked down the aisles to the main control room, hearing the klaxons blaring when they finally stopped. She rushed towards the control room and saw Unit 01 standing still. The bridge crew gave a sigh of relief, while Shigeru came up to her and gave her a cup of coffee. Misato nodded thanks and looked at the screen.
     "How in heck that this happened?"She asked, her face somehow relieved that it was under control.
     "About 2:30 p.m, she started moving for no apparent reason, but everything was up and running, as if it there was a pilot controlling it. There were massive readings coming from it, but we know that one of those was a neural link to the pilot. "Shigeru said.
     "Teri? Somehow, it connected to Teri? We just found out 2 days ago that she could synchronize perfectly with it, and somehow, they both connected? " Misato looked at Shigeru with a note of preoccupation.
      "Yeah, I guess that she was under stress to cause this reaction. Remember Major...er I mean Commander that she was delivered in there, so the LCL might have affected her mind, increasing an amount of energy to reside within both their minds."Shigeru looked at Misato and saw the fear in her face.
       "So, now, we know that Teri has some kind of psychic energy? That's bull, Shigeru. "She shrugged it off and sipped her coffee.
      " Who knows? Only Teri and Unit One know how they connect and interact with each other. That's all I can give you now, Commander, but we'll look more into it."Shigeru walked off, still looking at the sight of Unit 01 dead in its tracks.
<I wish we had destroyed them long ago.>Misato thought, unhappy that this thing still lived, and one day, the Evangelion units would be their ultimate undoing. Misato prayed that day would never come. She looked at it, still with a sense of wonderment and fear, still seeing in her mind's eye, Shinji Ikari, 14 years old, piloting it, seeing his face filled with fear and anguish that it brought him. That was in the past and she couldn't change it, no matter how hard she tried to do so.

    Fifteen minutes later, Teri woke up with a slight headache, her mind reeling from the pain in her mind she went through. Her classmates were all over her and her teacher was looking at her, with a worried look in her face. Teri blinked twice and told the class that she was fine, and all of them gave a sigh of relief. She opened up her computer and the message was gone, relived not to see it,that hateful message. The bell rang and the day came to a close, while groggily, she walked off the class and saw Sayeka walking towards her.<Maybe this shopping trip would do me good, after all, I have been under a lot of stress lately.>She thought.
     " Teri-Chan, you don't look so good? What happened? Did someone hit you over the head with an eraser?"Sayeka joked.
     "No, and I'm fine, really. Shall we get going, Sayeka-Chan?" Teri replied, her headache almost gone. Sayeka nodded and the 2 girls walked off.

Thanks a lot for Axel Terizaki, with each rough draft that I sent him, he gave me his comments and ideas for the story. I was going to make this a continous lengthy story, but Hotmail's e-mail limit I guess is 31-34K, so I'll be writing a second and third parts to this. Enjoy!
