Sigh, yet another self insertion.
While there is nothing really wrong with this tale, I feel like I've
read it several times before. The writing is acceptable and you've got a
pretty good new guy. You're a new author so I'm not really complaining,
but this story has been written by almost everyone on the list when they
first started. You'll have to come up with something to set yourself
apart from the rest. Even I did it. Now there is nothing wrong with
wishing to be a part of Ranma, most of the fic writers I know fantasize
about it at some time of another, but your guy seems to get in a little
too easily.
The Tendos have it rough enough with Happosai and the Saotomes staying
with them. I doubt they'd welcome another free loading house guest so
easily, to say nothing of the fact that all of the guest rooms are taken.
I've seen plans for the home on a few sites, sorry I don't have a url or
I'd give it to you.
Having your self insertist on roughly the same level as Ranma is also
something that's not unusual, but in your credit I haven't seen it in a
while. It kind of became a taboo a while back. It should also be noted
that the "I'm a weak and pathetic guy who doesn't know any martial arts
but am really smart and can out think everybody" self insertist is
starting to wear thin nowadays.
Over all I was entertained, but you really need something to set
yourself apart, like I said before. Keep it up and don't give up and
you'll catch on quickly.
