Greetings.
If I could, for a moment or two, be serious? I promise you, I won't be long.
As many of you out here on the FFML may or may not know, I have of late been
writing a cross-over fanfic concerning the Yoroiden Samurai Troopers and
Sailor Senshi, titled Ronin Summer. It was doing quite well, and in fact
spawned several sequels, such as Homecomings, Shell Games, and now Inner
Battles.
Here is my problem. Over the past few chapters, I have noticed my replies
diminishing from many... to none. Being the paranoid pessimist that I am, I
now find myself with six more chapters of Inner Battles to write, and the
growing suspicion that nobody is reading them. Thus, I have posted this
little message to the list.
My muse feeds on C&C. Without any, I have trouble getting the urge to work
on my stories, and I personally feel my work then suffers. I know that many
people out there may be reading and enjoying these stories, and have not
responded for myriad reasons. Perhaps this storyline is just not as good as
the others. Perhaps you have all been busy in your real lives, a curse which
has struck me often. Perhaps you're all just sick of this after nearly 28
consecutive chapters in the past five months.
Either way, I offer here a choice. If you wish, I shall do a retroactive
edit, as many have for "Bubblegum Crash!" and the James Bond movie "Casino
Royale". Essentially, we shall all agree that none of the events in Inner
Battles "actually" happened, and claim that the "real" Ronin Summer series
ended with Shell Games 10. I may produce another sequel somewhere down the
line, but it will in no way relate or allude to Inner Battles. As well,
Inner Battles will be cut off where it is, and allowed to fade away.
On the other hand, if interest seems high enough, I will gladly continue
Inner Battles to its conclusion. I leave the choice in your hands, dear
readers, and
shall be more than happy either way. Please reply with your opinion
privately, as I have no wish to offend the Administrators. I thank you for
