WARNINGS!!
This fic contains a few adult situations, not many at all, but better to be
safe then sorry. It has a few curses in Japanese and English. Some chapters
will also be rather dark, and/or gory, but not this chapter. That's about it.

AND NOW..........
Saiyan Good-byes
By Liz Errico
Chapter 2, Agenda
On the outskirts of the city, in a run down abandoned storehouse, three
men waited silently in the darkness. Not one of the trio spoke, even the
slightest whisper. They didn't even do so much as move. A lonely flame,
burning in the dusty air, cast an eire glow over them. The shadows behind
them danced and flickered as the breeze flowed through the drafty building.
Groaning slightly, the old wooden door swung gently in the breeze.
Suddenly, as if caught by a great burst of wind, the door flew open. An
imposing figure, wrapped in a flowing dark cloak, entered the room. He
quietly pushed the door shut and turned towards the others. The new arrival
glanced hastily around at the other members, and cleared his throat
importantly.
"My fellow conspirators, It is time for us to decide our course of
action. The king has gone through with his plans, and the deal has been
made." He paused dramatically, letting the full meaning of his announcement
sink in to his companions. "If we are to succeed in the liberation of
Vejita-sei, we must prepare swiftly. The wheel has been set in motion, and
we have little over a month until the appointed time of action. I believe
the only way for our plan to succeed is to recruit a .......volunteer. I
believe Nappa, that you had some news on that particular issue." Baradock
stopped, and pointed to the man on his left. Stepping back, he motioned for
Nappa to talk.
"Yes, today at the palace, after the king told the prince of the
arrangements that had been made, the boy attacked the king. Had I not
jumped in, it is most likely he would have killed his father. As it is, the
king sustained several broken ribs, and severe burns on his back." Nappa
stopped and sat down, obviously not wanting to be in the spotlight any
longer then his leader forced him to. Baradock then again loomed out of the
shadows, and turned towards the others.
Grinning, he continued, speaking with as if he was being consumed by his
passion for the topic. " This is perfect. It will be all too easy to
persuade the prince to help us dispose of his father. He already despises
the man, now we just have to get him to do as we wish. That is where
Radditz comes in."
His son, who had been thinking how boring his father's elaborate
speeches were, jolted up. He looked around suspiciously. " What do you
mean, old man. Up to me?"
" Yes, for you see, the king has chosen you as one of the two guards that
will accompany the prince. You must persuade him to trust you. Go to any
lengths, but you must get him to accept his chore."
Radditz glowered at the man sourly, mumbling under his breath. " Of
course, Baradock. I will not fail, I just don't see why I have to do this."
He snorted as his father hit him in the head, quite hard.
"You are the one the king choose, and since you are the only one who will
see the prince, you will do it. Is that understood?" The two men glared at
each other, as tensions in the room raised considerably. Nappa, not wanting
the two to kill each other, or their cover to be blown, spoke up.
"Baradock, what will we do after the king is gone?" Avoiding Baradock's
contemptful stare, he sighed gratefully as the father and son standoff came
to an end.
Baradock though for a moment, and took a deep breath. "After the damn
manipulative king is removed, then Nappa, and only then, will we be able to
lead the mighty Saiya-jin on to a bright and glorious future, a future filled
with victory and wealth, were we will rule on behalf of the people. In our
future, we will have no need for treaties with unworthy lizardish kings, no,
we will rule all. The power of the Saiya-jin will be unrivaled in the
universe, and we will be the mightiest of all." The man paused, eyes
gleaming and palms sweating.
In the corner, the only member of the party who had remained silent that
night sat with a look of confusion of his face. " But Baradock, if we get
the prince to kill the king, then wouldn't he be the king?"
Face awash in loathing and distaste, Baradock berated the man sharply. "
Altair, have I not just finished explaining it, there will be no more
kings. WE will rule on behalf of all the people, not some spoiled prince who
has no desire or reason to be king, besides birth right."
"Hai, I understand that, but what will we do if the prince wants to be
king? I mean that is what he was born to do."
Baradock smiled a smile of pure malice and joy. Laughing wickedly, he
made his reply, " Simple, ....... we kill him."

At the same exact time, on the same blustery night, the king of
Vejita-sei was also having a meeting, of sorts. He waited impatiently on a
large balcony outside of his chambers. The light of the sickle moon trickled
down through the misty clouds. Down on the lawn below, a stealthy shadow
moved fleetingly across the dewy grass. Vejita-sama sat up. Soon enough, a
shadowy figure landed lightly on the railing of the balcony.
Floating lightly down, the young women lowered herself to the marble
floor, and sauntered towards the king, her tail swaying slightly from side to
side. She leaned casually on the wall next to the kings chair.
"Well, have you decided?" he hissed sharply. "My offer is on the table,
take it or leave it. I could always find some one else if you were
uncooperative. "
"Ah, but they wouldn't be as good as me, would they. You said your
self that I am the best there is, and no one can dispute it."
The king frowned, know she was right. "You may be the best, but you are
also the most expensive. I sure I could manage with someone with a little
less expertise."
"Very well, I accept you offer, Vejita, but I want the cash now, before I
go. If I don't get the money, you don't get me."
Vejita-sama sighed. The girl was altogether to much for him some times.
" OK. The money will be delivered to you tomorrow. Is there anything else
you need to know about the assignment?"
The girl paused, forehead creased in thought. " Yes, well just some of
the basics. What ever you think I need to know."
"Well, It must be done when Freiza is away, and you must make sure that
he has no suspicions of you. If you let any one know anything about why you
were sent...." The king drew a finger across his throat. "One more thing,
I want you to play the boy a little, confuse him, tease him, whatever you
like, just make his life as near as hell as you can make it."
The light of a challenge shining bright in her eyes, she nodded at the
king. "Oh don't worry. I will, .......I will."

Notes: Well what did you think? I know the first chapter and this were a
little short, but don't worry, the next one will be much longer. Chapter
three shouldn't be out for a while cause of mid terms. BTW I'm looking for a
pre reader. If you are interested, e-mail me. The first person to respond
gets the job. Thanks!-Liz
