PRIVATE REPLIES PLEASE
    I just have a few quick questions about the sales tax in Japan for an 
upcoming fic. Basically, it boils down to two points:


    1) Is there a national sales tax in Japan at all?



    2) If so, what is the national rate, and what are the rates in Tokyo, 
Chiba, Osaka, Sopporo, and Yokahama specifically.
