It's not that. It's the lawsuit behind fear that I respect. Anne McCaffrey has
shown that she is not afraid to pull the lawyers out. Did you read the legal

Mrs. Lackey has had a fanfiction writer *sue* her for using a story idea of
theirs. (Not that it mattered much...)
And about the Internet keeping privacy? Hah! Right! You have an IP address? Is
it static or dynamic? Doesn't matter. Telnet into internic, find out whois
using that chunk of IP numbers. Get a court order, knock on the doors of the
ISP. Get your address and *Poof* they are at your door.
