Has anyone out there read any of the Wild Cards novels? I had a similar idea that i'd like some feedback on, if anyone feels like answering.
How about a Shared Universe fic series? It would have to be an original world, though. Maybe set at a "typical anime/manga highschool", could be in space, or in Japan, or wherever. Each author would create their own character or set of characters, operating in the same fictional locale, sometimes interacting with other author's characters and plots. I think it's an interesting idea, anyway, with room to grow in several directions at once, i.e., WAFFy stuff, comedy, action, even dark and lemon stories, depending on the individual styles and preferences of the authors involved. Here's the deal, though. A Shared Universe requires several authors. Anyone out there brave enough (or have enough time on their hands) to try this out with me? Respond in private or discuss, but let's get some feedback, okay?
