The medical proceedures might be necessary since I'm
surethere are a few
people acquainted with how such a thing is done, but why
would you need
the detailed info on false id? Why not just have the obscure
references
to Nabiki meeting with a few people and making some phone
calls for a few
days, then say "I've done it."
I second Jason's comment. Don't give the details; just refer
to Nabiki making phone calls and meeting people.
But, if you feel you must have more, there is a mystery
translated into English as "All She Was Worth", by
Miyuki Miyabe, which deals precisely with this: obtaining
false IDs in Japan. The antagonist did not manufacture
identities from scratch, perhaps because this is simply
too difficult in Japan. The antagonist assumed the identity
of other people, who had either died or moved away.
For instance, you could have Ukyou remember a classmate from
elementary school who moved to America for good, and then
have Nabiki obtain ID papers allowing Ranma to assume the
identity of this Kansai classmate. Here you have someone
who nobody in Tokyo knows (except Ukyou), and who hopefully
won't be showing up, but who can be proven to exist.
Then you could have some fun having Ukyou and Nabiki
training Ranma to speak with a Kansai dialect.
